2015 Top 109 Prospects in Fantasy Baseball

Carlos Correa and the other Top 109 Prospects.

Feast your eyes on my Top 109 Prospects list, and enjoy what is to come this season and could be one of the most beneficial tools in your draft prep arsenal. Why 109 you may ask? Well it is an odd number and that may make it just appealing enough to look at. It may also raise questions on who and the heck would be 110?

Prospect rankings are now one of the most highly coveted lists in the Fantasy offseason, especially since the now infamous 2012 season where top ranked prospects Mike Trout and Bryce Harper splashed in to the majors. Now there aren’t many owners who can resist the appeal to draft the next big star, or that prospect who gets the call and can carry you to a championship.

Is it realistic to find another Trout or Harper? Probably not. In fact most prospects aren’t successful, or consistent when they get the call, at least for a few seasons. That being said certain formats demand knowledge and recognition of the minor league systems, time tables for call-ups to the majors, and obstacles to a call-up. Having a step ahead of your fellow owners, especially in Keeper and Dynasty formats is critical.

So, essentially you need to find the balance of tempered expectations while also being knowledgeable and ready for the next youngster to get the call. If you are hoping for more breakdown and profiles, please rest assured that you will see more Prospect content going forward. Top 10 individual team prospect rankings with summaries, as well as individual prospect profiles are coming your way soon. I look forward to delving in to this season’s crop of future stars, or perhaps disappointments with all of you throughout the 2015 season.

As much as I do watch MiLB games, read, research and engulf myself with prospect passion, I can’t take the credit for everything. I get an awful lot of data and information from sources such as Baseball Prospectus, Baseball America, Ron Shandler’s Baseball Forecaster, MLB.com, and thedynastyguru.com. My rankings are my own, and I stand behind them, but I don’t make the decisions without the above mentioned for research and help.

With that stay tuned for much much more over the next month and season, and enjoy. Feel free to praise, criticize, or ask questions. Thanks for reading!
