Welcome to the Monday edition of Daily Fantasy Baseball Draftkings Picks For June 5.

On tonight’s seven game slate, we have some interesting options for pitching. We are going to be looking at pitchers who are in some great pitcher parks.

There are also a few games in hitter friendly stadiums as well and in my opinion, puts my top pitching option at some risk this evening.

Also, the MLB All-Star game is getting close. Over the weekend, the Rockies held a fan contest. The winner(s) of the contest were selected to represent a player from the Rockies. Well, anyone who knows me knows what a huge Story fan I am so I was selected to represent Trevor Story as his All-Star campaign manager. So here is the ask friends and blog lurkers.

I need you to go vote for #Storytime! You can do that one of two ways. Visit this page right here or here. You can only vote five times a day for a total of 35 times. So when your eyes are done bleeding from looking at Excel sheets all day, why not take five happy minutes and #VoteStory! Then when you’ve put in your 35 votes, you can use another email address and vote another 35 times. Let’s face it. You have more than one email address anyway! Look, you get free content lineups every week so go vote for Trevor Story and enjoy my Draftkings Picks For June 5

Draftkings Picks For June 5

Pitcher

Jeff Samardzija, SF at MIL ($8,900)

“The Shark,” has been pretty decent this year. Over his last five games, he’s averaging 7.9 Ks a game while keeping everything under three runs. I don’t love the fact he is in Milwaukee tonight but the Brewers do strike out a lot.

Gio Gonzalez, WAS at LAD ($8,000)

Gio has similar stats to Samardzija, only he’s a left-handed pitcher. Oddly enough, I’m more comfortable with him than I am the Shark. I think its solely based on park factor. Truth be told, I don’t love either but it’s who I’m using tonight.

Catcher

Buster Posey, SF at MIL ($4,100)

Posey is quietly having a great season. I absolutely love him tonight in Milwaukee, especially since pitching isn’t expensive. You should have no problem getting him into your lineups.

Cameron Rupp, CIN vs. NYY ($2,700)

Strictly a tournament play. However, he is involved in the game with the highest run total. Just make sure the weather cooperates.

First Base

Anthony Rizzo, CHC vs. MIA ($4,300)

I love the Cubs today. They are my favorite stack and it starts with my lefty Rizzo. I know Strailey has been great but I still don’t trust it.

Matt Adams, ATL vs. PHI ($3,700)

Adams has been on a tear since joining the Braves. He has hit three home runs in his last 11 at-bats. As long as the weather holds, we like Atlanta tonight.

Second Base

Jed Lowrie, OAK vs. TOR ($3,800)

I like targeting the A’s bats as they are usually under-owned. Jed Lowrie fits that tonight. He’s a switch hitter so he shouldn’t be pulled late in the game, as the A’s sometimes like to do.

Ian Happ, CHC vs. MIA ($3,500)

Happ went double dong yesterday. If he continues to bat leadoff, we love the price and the match-up! He has sorta cooled off up until yesterday. Hopefully, this will be the start of something beautiful and we get a good discount.

Third Base

Jedd Gyorko, STL at CIN ($3,900)

Fresh off paternity leave, Gyorko is ready to use that dad strength again tonight. The Great American Smallpark is calling his name against a pitcher who is sporting a lovely 5.63 ERA. Good luck tonight Asher Wojciechowski!

Josh Donaldson, TOR at OAK ($4,400)

Donaldson is making a return visit to his old stomping grounds. I love the revenge narrative here tonight. That’s all! Ok, righty-lefty matchup if you must know why.

Shortstop

Carlos Correa, HOU at KC ($5,500)

So the Astros are good at baseball. It starts with Correa who is only averaging 15.8 Fantasy points a game over the last five. The Astros are expensive tonight but are worth it.

Dansby Swanson, ATL vs. PHI  ($3,000)

Pay attention to where he is batting tonight. Love him if he is batting second again. If he’s batting near the bottom, he becomes a low-owned tournament play.

Outfielder

Christian Yelich, MIA at CHC ($4,500)

Once again we are targeting the Chicago game. Yelich a left-handed hitter versus Eddie Butler a right-handed pitcher. I’m a big fan of this game in general. Batting behind Stanton always has its benefits as well.

Khris Davis, OAK vs. TOR ($3,300)

Another one of our low-owned A’s bats. I like stacking him and Lowrie together, especially against the lefty J.A. Happ.

George Springer HOU at KC ($5,700)

Remember that part about expensive Houston bats? Well here is another one. Ian Kennedy has not been very good so I’m looking to get some Astros in. It appears I’ve done just that.

Top Stacks

Remember we can only stack five hitters. However, as I mentioned before, the three team requirement is gone. So, with pitching fairly spread out tonight you should be able to fit the Astros bats in nicely. It’s going to be tough to stack all of them but a three or four man stack is just fine. Here are some other stacks I like for this evening’s slate.

  • Chicago Cubs
  • Miami Marlins
  • St. Louis Cardinals
  • Oakland A’s (sneaky)

Best of luck today and don’t forget to go vote for your favorite DFS team and especially Trevor Story. I hope you enjoyed my Draftkings Picks For June 5.
