Welcome to the Monday edition of Daily Fantasy Baseball Draftkings Picks For May 1.

Tonight we get Clayton Kershaw again. While he had an okay outing in terms of Kershaw standards, he gets to see the Giants for the second time in less than a week. I’m not recommending a full fade, but his price is really high.

There is no Chase or Coors field tonight, so expect lots of Cubs and Pirates bats especially with the wind potentially blowing out.

As far as park factor is concerned, we have a few situational parks. The Yankees and the Red Sox have some of the more favorable parks for hitters. It’s a pitchers only affair on the west coast as the Dodgers game is expected to be a low-scoring affair.

Lets’ get to the Draftkings Picks For May 1

Draftkings Picks For May 1

Pitcher

Clayton Kershaw, LAD vs. SF ($13,900)

Once again Kershaw is the top option, but I’m not so sure I want to pay up this time through. He was very mediocre last time out.

Michael Wacha, STL vs. MIL ($7,200)

I love targeting Cardinals pitchers in St. Louis. The price is very nice (Borat voice) on Wacha this evening. We are taking the Brewers out of their home and I couldn’t be more delighted. Especially since they may be without Ryan Braun.

Catcher

Salvador Perez, KC vs. CWS ($3,400)

Once again we are going back to Perez. The catcher position in general stinks tonight. Covey is by far the worst pitcher on this slate and Perez won’t break the bank.

Tucker Barnhart, CIN vs. PIT ($2,700)

Strictly a tournament play. He is a switch hitter and playing in the Great American Small Park. So, I’ll just punt the position in general tonight.

First Base

Freddie Freeman, ATL vs. NYM ($4,600)

Sometimes, the jokes write themselves. Freeman vs. Gsellman. Thanks for playing Bob!

Yuli Gurriel, HOU vs. TEX ($3,300)

Salary saver! Going against Andrew Cashner who has been pitching over his head all season. Yes, it’s a righty-righty match-up but that doesn’t scare me. Gurriel has been averaging 10 DK points over his last 10 games.

Second Base

Josh Harrison, PIT at CIN ($3,900)

Amir Garrett has regressed a bit and the Pirates look to take advantage of that. Harrison has a reasonable price tag on him tonight and it’s all about the 3 L’s in this game. Location, location, location!

Starlin Casto, NYY vs. TOR ($3,400)

Was there any team hotter than the Yankees on Friday and Saturday? Casto absolutely went bonkers on Saturday. I like the Yankees tonight, despite facing Estrada.

Third Base

Mike Moustakas, KC vs. CWS ($3,400)

We are going to pick on Covey with Moustakas. Moustakas is averaging 8.3 pts per game this season and we look to build on that this evening. Too bad this game isn’t in Chicago.

Todd Frazier, CWS vs. KC ($4,400)

The Toddfather is starting to heat up as of late. Over his last six games, he posted double-digit Fantasy points in half of those.

Shortstop

Franciso Lindor, CLE at DET ($4,300)

Cleveland took the Mariners to the woodshed yesterday and Lindor was a big part of that. We look for him to continue his hot streak versus our friend, Bud Norris tonight.

Jordy Mercer, PIT at CIN ($3,300)

No Trevor Story tonight so I guess we will take on the Rightie-Leftie matchup against Garrett in the Smallpark. Mercer has been batting lead-off but has been struggling against lefties.

Outfielder

Michael Brantley, CLE at DET ($4,100)

Make sure he is in the lineup tonight. If he’s not, we love Brandon Guyer at $2,900. Brantley has been a quiet assassin this year in a lineup loaded with studs.

Aaron Judge, NYY vs. TOR ($3,900)

Judge has really been playing well. His ownership fluctuates a bit depending on where he bats in the order. I really don’t care where he bats, I want all the Judge shares I can handle. Over his last 10 games, he has averaged 14 DK points a game.

Jim Adduci, DET vs. CLE  ($2,400)

I’m going to take the salary savings so that I can fit Kershaw in my lineup. Once again, make sure he’s playing. While the power hasn’t been there yet, we are going to look to target him against Trevor Bauer.

Top Stacks

Remember we can only stack five hitters. However, as I mentioned before, the three team requirement is gone. The Pirates and Indians should be fairly popular tonight. Keep an eye on the weather with the Cubs game. It would be a good game to stack up especially if it runs a PPD risk.

  • Pittsburgh Pirates
  • Cleveland Indians
  • Houston Astros
  • New York Yankees (sneaky)

Best of luck today and I hope you enjoyed my Draftkings Picks For May 1.
