Its an unofficial holiday today. It’s Star Wars Day, so as we give our Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for Monday, May the Fourth be with you — and our predictions.

Editors note: As of 3:30 pm CST the Rockies, Diamonbacks game looks like it might get postponed. Please keep an eye on the weather. If it is postponed and you are looking to stack I recommend the Astros or Bluejays.

Pitching: Pay up, you will…

Clayton Kershaw vs. Milwaukee: Milwaukee is getting healthy and Kershaw has been struggling, I guess. The game is in Milwaukee so proceed with caution. In my opinion he is not the obvious front runner for pitching.

Felix Hernandez vs. the Halos: I like Hernandez a little bit more than Kershaw because the Angels haven’t been hitting as of late. Once you get through Trout it’s pretty smooth sailing.

Dallas Keuchel vs. Texas: Rangers can’t hit either. Astros can. Almost $3000 less than the King and Kershaw. If you want bats in Colorado look no further than Dallas.

Catchers: Help me Evan Gattis, you are my only hope…

Guys I like not named Evan Gattis

Buster Posey vs. Tyson Ross: Ross has been erratic and gets to face Posey. He should have a field day.

Whatever Rockies Catcher they trot out vs. Collmenter- A cheap option given the extreme park shift.

First Base: “Search your feelings!” Trust in Gold

Paul Goldschmidt vs. Tyler Matzek: Obvious but C’mon you need Goldy! Do not fade!

Justin Morneau vs. Josh Collmenter: Cheaper than Goldy and there isn’t a lot to love at first base but I don’t totally want to punt it.

Edwin Encarnacion vs. Chase Whitley: The game is in Toronto but Easy E hasn’t homered in his last 10 games and is batting a pedestrian .220. I expect him to get healthy at home.

Second Base: “I’ll never join you!” If you want the power bats you have to punt somewhere…

Joe Panik vs. Ross: Panik is a silent assassin. With Jose Altuve getting all the attention, and rightfully so, Panik has been just as consistent

Yangervis Solarte vs. Madison Bumgarner: Cheap option that has been hot. Make sure he is in the line-up.

Odubel Herrera vs. Alex Wood: Believe it or not he has a 7 game hit streak going. He had a 6 game hit streak going into Sunday where he was given the day off. He came into to pinch hit and guess what he did…got a hit. (Only Outfield eligible on Fanduel.)

Third Base: “Do or do not, there is no try.” That’s right, you’re either paying up or punting.

Josh Donaldson: As spendy as they come but I don’t know if I like him more than Arenado. More expensive on DraftKings.

Kris Bryant vs. Carlos Martinez: Can Carlos Martinez keep his hot start? I’m thinking the Cubs end that streak tonight and Bryant will be in the mix.

Alex Rodriguez vs. R.A. Dickey: Once again A-rod makes my list. Still swinging a hot stick and he plays in Toronto tonight!

Shortstop: “It’s a Trap!”  Unless you are punting pitching, good luck fitting the top two shortstops in.

Asdrubal Cabrera vs. Clay Buchholz: I’ve been sticking with Cabrera for quite some time. He’s been batting 3rd and he comes as a cheap option.

Nick Ahmed vs. Matzek: Make sure he is in the lineup but as cheap as they come given the venue.

Adeiny Hechavarria vs. Jordan Zimmerman: Hech has been on fire as of late. Stay on Target…

Outfield: “I have a bad feeling about this!” Another spot where you may be forced to find cheap sticks

Justin Maxwell vs. Ross: Sure, he has come back to earth a bit but he’s still batting in the middle of the order. I’ll take it.

Mark Canha vs. Phil Hughes: Hughes gives up a lot of fly balls. That’s not good considering Canha has been smashing.

Kevin Pillar vs. Whitley: Pillar has been showing up in big spots since Reyes has been out. Another good cheap option.

So, there you have it, these are my Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for Monday, May 4, 2015. Good luck and May the Fourth be with you.
