Today’s slate may not be as big as last night’s, but I am here again to help with your Daily Fantasy NBA: Picks and Lineups for 1-16-16. Eight games are on the board for this evening, and for what it is worth I love to play on weekends when Football is still on too.
With big hitting teams such as the Thunder, Cavaliers, Rockets, Bulls and Pacers off today we may need to dig a little deeper today for value plays. The point guard position looks deep while the shooting guard is murky.
I hope you enjoyed my Wednesday post and used it. The lineups did very well and a repeat today would be exceptional. I am adding in a new bonus today and may keep it going forward in adding a DraftDay lineup. If you don’t play on DraftDay you should and let me know so we get some perks.
There are several injuries to monitor (as always) and it has become critical to try and stay on top of last minute scratches, game time decisions minutes before tip-off. For this up to date information I have been using Fantasy Alarm alongside Twitter of course.
Daily Fantasy NBA: Picks and Lineups 1-16-16
Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on Fanduel must be built using $50,000 and consists of 2-Point Guards, 2- Shooting Guards, 2-Small Forward, 2-Power Forwards, and 1-Center
Scoring: 3 point shot= 3 pts; 2 point shot= 2 pts; Free Throws= 1 pt; Rebounds= 1.2 pts; Assists= 1.5 pts; Blocks= 2 pts; Steals= 2 pts; Turnovers= -1 pt
Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on DraftKings must be built using $50,000 and consists of 1-Point Guard, 1- Shooting Guards, 1-Small Forward, 1-Power Forwards, 1-Center, 1- Guard, 1- Forward and 1- Utility
Scoring: Point= 1 point; 3 point= +0.5 point; Rebound= 1.25 points; Assist= 1.5 points; Steal= 2 points; Block= 2 points; Turnover= -0.5 points; Double-Double= 1.5 points (1 time per player); Triple-Double= 3 points (1 time per player)
Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers vs Sacramento Kings ($9,700 on FanDuel and $9,200 on Draft Kings)
Paul is a five category player every night, and tonight aside from curry should be the top option at the position. I am playing him tonight in an optimal lineup, and feel very safe doing so. Paul is averaging 48.6 FanDuel points over his last five so play with confidence tonight and expect more than 16 points from the field tonight.
Avery Bradley, Boston Celtics @ Washington Wizards ($4,900 on FanDuel and $5,200 on Draft Kings)
Bradley has been playing well after missing several games. Over his last four games he has been averaging 22.2 FanDuel points. Not to bad for a player who is considerably cheap. Tonight the shooting guard position is filled with land mines, and Bradley may be one of them. However he won’t cost you too much so the risk/reward is there.
Nicholas Batum, Charlotte Hornets vs Milwaukee Bucks ($7,100 on FanDuel and $ 7,500 on Draft Kings)
Anthony Davis just got worked by Nicholas Batum so bad he nearly tore his knee open ? #Pelicans

Batum was playing very well prior to leaving the game Friday night. Today he is listed as a GTD, but should be in the lineup after the elbow strain. He may not be as easy to squeeze in to lineups tonight, but I like him due to a likely low ownership percentage. Since returning from injury he has remained close to his average of 31 FanDuel points per game.
DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings @ Los Angeles Clippers ($10,800 on FanDuel and $10,500 on Draft Kings)
He qualifies as a power forward still on Draft Kings and because of this I am listing him as a Power Forward play tonight. He will be tough to squeeze in to lineups due to cost but if you can find a way to pair him with Lillard or Paul it will make a potent one-two punch.
Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks vs Brooklyn Nets ($7,800 on FanDuel and $6,900 on Draft Kings)
Horford followed up a monstrous night with a real stinker on Wednesday. Aside from that game though Horford has had value in his reasonable price range at the center position. As long as he is playing he has been averaging 31 FanDuel Points a game and over his last five is averaging 36.86 FanDuel points. The Nets haven’t been great at slowing down big men this season so Horford should meet his value tonight and save you some money!
I really wanted to find a way for Paul, Lillard and Cousins all in one lineup but feel more confident in this one to cash. Perhaps in a GPP format I will try that.
