Week 13 Pitching Planner: Keeping The Hot Streak Alive

My streaming options have remained hot the past few weeks. With the Week 13 pitching planner I want to continue that hot streak.

After chasing (and attaining) perfection in Week 10, my Week 11 picks were one blown up Alex Cobb-salad from going perfect in back-to-back weeks. Week 12 is continuing the trend, as my streaming picks are 9-1 with six starts remaining.

I am trying to take pride and hold myself accountable with these picks. Anyone can just show you who has 2-starts or is a must-start with a good/bad matchup. I want to give you a reason to come back.

For the Week 13 pitching planner, I am using ownership percentages from ESPN. The information in this Week 13 pitching planner is up to date as of June 23rd.

Shelby Miller and Zack Godley, ARI: at MIA, vs. SF

This will be Miller’s first starts of the season, so we will see if they let him make two. I am streaming him for sure against the Marlins though.

Mike Foltynewicz, ATL: vs. CIN, at STL

Andrew Cashner and Kevin Gausman, BAL: vs. SEA, vs. LAA

David Price, BOS: vs. LAA, at NYY

Mike Montgomery and Jon Lester, CHC: at LAD, vs. MIN

Reynaldo Lopez, CWS: vs. MIN, at TEX

Tyler Mahle and Matt Harvey, CIN: at ATL, vs. MIL

Corey Kluber, CLE: at STL, at OAK

Chad Bettis, COL: at SF, at LAD

Jordan Zimmerman and Michael Fulmer, DET: vs. OAK, at TOR

Justin Verlander and Charlie Morton, HOU: vs. TOR, at TB

Jake Junis, KC: vs. LAA, at SEA

John Lamb, LAA: at BOS, at BAL

The Angels’ rotation is finally more solid now that Ohtani is on the DL.

Kenta Maeda and Ross Stripling, LAD: vs. CHC, vs. COL

Dan Straily and Julio Urena, MIA vs. ARI, vs. NYM

Freddy Peralta, MIL: vs. KC, at CIN

Lance Lynn, MIN: at CWS, at CHC

Seth Lugo, NYM: vs. PIT, at MIA

Jonathan Loaisiga, NYY: at PHI, vs. BOS

Frankie Montas, OAK: at DET, vs. CLE

Vincent Velasquez and Jake Arrieta, PHI: vs. NYY, vs. WAS

Jameson Taillon, PIT: at NYM, at SD

Joey Lucchesi, SD: at TEX, vs. PIT

Derek Holland, SF: vs. COL, at ARI

Felix Hernandez and James Paxton, SEA: at BAL, vs. KC

Nathan Eovaldi, TB: vs. WAS, vs. HOU

Cole Hamels, TEX: vs. SD, vs. CWS

J.A. Happ, TOR: at HOU, vs. DET

Gio Gonzalez, WAS: at TB, at PHI

Good Matchups

These are mostly must-start pitchers anyway, but take note for daily players.

Patrick Corbin and Zack Greinke, ARI at MIA

Lance McCullers, HOU at TB

Jacob deGrom, NYM at MIA

Mike Leake, SEA at BAL

Max Scherzer, WAS at TB

Bad Matchups

In year-long leagues, you probably aren’t sitting these guys, but stay away in daily formats.

Alex Wood, LAD vs. CHC

Sonny Gray, NYY vs. BOS

Carlos Martinez and Jack Flaherty, STL vs. CLE

Blake Snell, TB vs. HOU

Streaming Options

These are the guys to pick up and insert in your lineup for a good matchup this week.

Clay Buchholz, ARI vs. SF (34.6% ownership)

Still only owned in about a third of leagues, he needs to be owned in 100% of leagues.

Felix Pena, LAA at BAL (0.1% ownership)

For deeper leagues, you can do worse than the young Pena against the team with the lowest batting average in the league.

Brent Suter, MIL vs. KC (24.7% ownership)

Suter has not given up more than 3 runs or gone less than five innings since early May. Now he gets a struggling Royals’ lineup.

Kyle Gibson, MIN at CWS (31.3% ownership)

He has five quality starts in his last six outings, and was one out from six in a row.

Jason Vargas, NYM at MIA (1.0% ownership)

He got rocked by the Rockies, but Coors Field will do that. I like him much better at Miami.

All Texas Rangers pitchers outside of Cole Hamels: vs. SD, vs. CWS

They are all widely available and now you get two terrible offenses and the Rangers are streaking.

That’s it for the Week 13 pitching planner!
