Week 14 Injury Report: Adrian Peterson Will Miss Another Week

In our Week 14 injury report, the biggest news at the running back position is about Adrian Peterson.

Dealing with a neck issue, this is the second week in a row that the veteran back will miss. His backup, Kerwynn Williams, is dealing with rib injuries but was able to practice on Thursday.

In Week 13, Williams turned 16 carries into 97 rushing yards. If you were relying on Peterson for the playoffs, it’s time to add Williams to your roster if he’s still available.

Now, let’s take a look at the rest of the injury report for Week 14.

Week 14 Injury Report for Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills

Taylor is questionable with a knee injury, and he will be a game-time decision for his matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

If he can play, this will be a great streaming matchup. The Colts have allowed the ninth-most Fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and Blake Bortles just threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns against this defense in Week 13.

Now, if Taylor can’t play, the defense for the Colts would be worth streaming, even if they are allowing so many Fantasy points to quarterbacks.

In his disastrous Week 11 start, backup quarterback Nathan Peterman threw five interceptions.

Week 14 Injury Report for Running Backs

Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon is dealing with a concussion and will not play in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears.

Without Jeremy Hill, the Bengals will have to rely on Giovani Bernard. In Week 13, the 26-year old back rushed for 77 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards.

Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks

In mid-November, Pete Carroll said rookie Chris Carson had a chance to return in December.

Now, Carroll is saying there are setbacks in the rookie’s recovery from his broken leg. We only had a few glimpses of Carson’s potential in the early part of the season, but it looked like he was on his way to taking over the backfield.

He could still return, but it might not be until the Fantasy playoffs are over.

Week 14 Injury Report for Wide Receivers

Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos

Sanders sat out practice Wednesday because of an ankle injury, but he got in a full practice on Thursday.

He’s listed as questionable, but he’s expected to suit up against the New York Jets.

It’s been a disappointing season for owners of Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. Sanders only has 471 receiving yards on the season, and it looks like Thomas will finish with less than 900 yards for the 2017 Fantasy Football season.

Look for the Broncos to try and find a solution at quarterback in the draft.

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams

Woods was having a solid Fantasy season, posting a 47-703-4 stat line in 10 games.

Unfortunately for his owners, he hasn’t been on the field since Week 11 thanks to a shoulder injury.  He is listed as questionable for Week 14, and he’s not expected to play.

Keep an eye on a Week 15 return for the 25-year old receiver.

Week 14 Injury Report for Tight Ends

Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles

Ertz is dealing with a concussion and has practiced this week, but he still needs to officially be cleared.

If he is cleared, he will have a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, a team that has allowed the seventh-fewest Fantasy points to tight ends this season.
