Before we get into what I consider to be Week 14 value plays at quarterback on FanDuel, I thought it would be good to point out a few interesting statistics about the position!
First, though, I wanted to point out that just because you might have been knocked out of your Fantasy Football playoffs, like I was in five of my 14 leagues, you don’t have to be done with Fantasy!
I just wrote a piece for FanDuel that explains how those that are knocked out of the Fantasy playoffs can still end up as winners over the next four weeks (and into the NFL Playoffs) on FanDuel.
But back to the quarterbacks position. Tom Brady and Cam Newton are currently leading the position, with Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton and Blake Bortles following behind them to fill out the top five at the position.
Only Brady was picked among the TOP 10 at that position this summer! And even he was out of the top 10 for the first part of the summer, as many expected him to get suspended for four games to start the season. Palmer and Dalton were outside of the top 15 – and Bortles was outside of the top 10!
I can honestly say, this is the craziest I’ve ever seen the quarterbacks position, considering it’s usually the most stable of all Fantasy positions.
According to my FanDuel stats buddy, Jesse Lambert, Week 13 quarterbacks had a banner day!

The Week 14 value plays at quarterback on FanDuel are meant to help you set your Daily Fantasy Football lineup in such a way that brings you optimum value. What I mean by this is you might be able to find a quarterback that’s expected to put up more points this week, but he might come at a higher cost.
3 Value Plays at Quarterback on FanDuel
We picked these three quarterbacks for your FanDuel cash games lineups! These three QBs are good plays considering their prices and their matchups in Week 14.
Johnny Manziel, Cleveland vs. San Francisco ($6,400): I’m not saying he’s a great play in regular Fantasy play, but for FanDuel, this is a great price for a starting quarterback (with wheels) against the 49ers. While San Francisco’s defense has played well recently, this could be a game where Manziel picks up a lot of rushing and passing yards on broken plays.
Jay Cutler, Chicago vs. Washington ($6,700): Sure, the Redskins stopped Matt Cassel and Co., holding them to just 223 passing yards and no touchdowns, but before that, they had given up 15 passing touchdowns in their last six games.
Ryan Tannehill, Miami vs. N.Y. Giants ($6,900): The Giants have given up 300 passing yards in each of their past three games, and let’s not forget that the G-Men surrendered seven TD passes to Drew Brees just five weeks ago.
3 Quarterbacks to Avoid on FanDuel
This trio of quarterbacks are players you should stay away from for the upcoming weekend of NFL action. Some of these players might be worth a contrarian play in a GPP tournament, but for the most part, they’re players to avoid. I discuss how to pick contrarian players for tournaments here on FanDuel Insider.
Tom Brady, New England at Houston ($9,300): In the first seven weeks of this season, the Texans had allowed 16 touchdown passes, but DE J.J. Watt and friends have buckled down since, giving up just four TD passes in five games. Brady is too expensive this week for this play.
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay vs. Dallas ($8,900): Over the past seven weeks, the Cowboys defense has allowed just five touchdown passes! Expect the Packers to rely on a refreshed and recommitted Eddie Lacy in Week 14.
Matt Ryan, Atlanta at Carolina ($7,100): Only three teams are allowing more Fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Panthers, and Ryan has thrown just one touchdown pass in three of his past four games.
Lol espn is making excuses for Matt Ryan. Saying his WRs need to do better. Those type of excuses aren't made for Cam or Russell Wilson.

Hopefully, these Week 14 Value Plays at quarterbacks will help you in both your 50/50 games and your GPP tournaments on FanDuel, or whichever Daily Fantasy Football site you play on!
