Welcome to the Week 4 version of Daily Fantasy Football D/ST Value Plays.

Through three weeks we have learned that the Broncos, Cardinals, Seahawks, Bills and Jets are Fantasy’s best – and most reliable – early-season D/STs. And while they may be the only trustworthy D/STs heading into Week 4, there are plenty of great streaming options to take advantage of.

Looking ahead to Week 4, it appears that Bears quarterback Jimmy Clausen will make his second consecutive start while Jay Cutler recovers from his hamstring injury. If Clausen indeed gets the start, the Oakland Raiders D/ST should be a strong consideration at just $4,500.

The Cardinals D/ST, who have been scoring touchdowns at will the past two weeks, get a fantastic match-up at home against Nick Foles and the Rams. At $5,000, the price to play the Cards D/ST is a bit steep, but with so many values at other positions this week, you shouldn’t have any issues fitting them into your daily lineup.

While it’s ideal to try and save money on your D/ST to maximize other roster spots, going with what you know and paying up for a legitimate stud D/ST each week is your safest bet at constructing the strongest DFS lineup. But of course, we here at SCFE want to give you an edge over the competition, so below are your Week 4 Daily Fantasy Football top value plays at D/ST.

3 DFS Value Plays at D/ST

San Diego Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns ($4,400)

There is no doubt that the Chargers D/ST has been horrid through the first three weeks of the season. No one will dispute that. But ahead in Week 4 the Bolts host a putrid and lethargic Browns offense. Browns quarterback Josh McCown continues to be mediocre and the offensive line has allowed the third most sacks this season. At just $4,400, the Chargers are a good value play if you’re looking to save a few dollars.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers ($4,700)

It’s not like the Packers defense should be feared or relied upon for guaranteed points. It’s more that Niner’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick loves turning the ball over to the opposing team. Kaepernick continues to struggle as a passing quarterback and as such should be picked on every week. The Niners will score points at home against the Packers, but in a game where they will likely be playing from behind, they are going to have throw the ball – a lot – and it has been established that Kaepernick isn’t very good in that department. Priced at $4,700, the Packers are a solid play with upside for turnovers.

Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles ($4,100)

The Redskins aren’t a great defense. In fact, they aren’t even good. But they are much improved from last season and they are virtually impossible to run on. Ahead in Week 4 they will host the Eagles in a game that could be severely affected by the weather. If the game is played and conditions are less than favorable, there could be a ton of turnovers in a game full of soggy balls and wet fields – I think that came out wrong …

At basically minimum price, the Redskins D/ST could be the beneficiaries of home-field advantage in a weather-affected game against the Eagles.

Good luck in Week 4 and let our Daily Fantasy Football Value Plays help you build that million-dollar lineup. And in the event that you win, we take donations.
