Looking for some Week 5 value plays at quarterback on FanDuel? We have a trio for you – along with three quarterbacks to avoid this week, as well.

While we all love a cheap quarterback on FanDuel, we often find that you get the best values from the second tier, just under the elite options.

Heck, even the elite options are still good values at times, especially in cash games where you need reliable, consistent play.

Before we get into what I think are the best plays this week, I wanted to point out a great tool over at FantasyKnuckleheads.com. Their Daily Fantasy Football Optimal Lineup Tool is definitely one of the best DFS tools around.

Don’t forget to also use Doug Anderson’s “Fantasy Points Allowed by Position,” where he breaks down the ability of defenses going up against each Fantasy position. The best part is – it breaks it down according to the individual scoring rules on several DFS sites, including FanDuel, DraftKings, FantasyAces, Drafster and FanThrowdown.

3 Value Plays at Quarterback on FanDuel

We handpicked three quarterbacks for your Daily Fantasy Football pleasure! These three QBs are good plays considering their prices and their matchups in Week 4. Remember that this is the first week with four teams on bye weeks, so Cam Newton, Teddy Bridgewater, Ryan Tannehill and Ryan Fitzpatrick are out, but Tom Brady and Marcus Mariota are back.

Tom Brady, New England at Dallas ($8,800): He might be the third-most expensive quarterback on the week, but he’s coming off a nice hiatus, and his offense is healthy. He’s ready to rock against a Cowboys defense that has allowed over 300 passing yards on average over the past two weeks.

Jay Cutler, Chicago at Kansas City ($7,400): The Chiefs have to prove they can stop a quarterback before I’m going to suggest avoiding one against him. Cutler is back from a hamstring injury, and he should have a full complement of pass catchers at his disposal.

Brandon Weeden, Dallas vs. New England ($6,400): That’s right – I’m picking both quarterbacks! Vegas expects this game to be the highest-scoring affair of Week 5, with a 49.5 over/under.

3 Quarterbacks to Avoid on FanDuel

This trio of quarterbacks are players you should stay away from for the upcoming weekend of NFL action. Some of these players might be worth a contrarian play in a GPP tournament, but for the most part, they’re players to avoid. I discuss how to pick contrarian players for tournaments here on FanDuel Insider.

Derek Carr, Oakland vs. Denver ($6,700): It’s a sweet price, I know, which makes him an interesting play in some GPPs, but the Broncos have the toughest defense against the pass right now. Vegas thinks only a couple games will be lower-scoring games than this one.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay vs. St. Louis ($9,200): Is it ever wise to pick against Rodgers? Probably not. But he’s going up against a pretty good Rams defense that has allowed just three touchdown passes all season.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati vs. Seattle ($7,300): The price is pretty great actually, and GPP owners should take advantage. But he has either thrown for multiple touchdowns or for 300 yards in each game this season.

Hopefully, these Week 5 Value Plays at quarterbacks will help you in both your 50/50 games and your GPP tournaments on FanDuel, or whichever Daily Fantasy Football site you play on!
