Week 6 of Daily Fantasy Football is here. I am new to this whole writing thing; I have played Season Long Fantasy Football for decades and Daily Fantasy Football for about three years now. This article is one of the biggest challenges of my Fantasy Football career and I love it. If my article helps just one person cash each week, it would be just as good of a feeling to me as winning any Fantasy Football championship. So please share your experiences with me.

Positive or negative all comments are welcome. Tweet me @ChrisFromSI

Let’s get to this weeks value WRs and the WRs to avoid.

Week 6 teams on Bye: Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams

All prices are based on Fanduel pricing.

Week 6 Daily Fantasy Football

3 Value Wide Receivers

Julian Edelman, New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts ($7,900)

The Patriots projected team total is 31 points and the projected over/under is 55 total points. I am slightly worried about the Patriots game flow and they might line up to play smash mouth football. I think they will try to run a lot against the weak Colts run defense to shorten the game, but I think with a healthy Andrew Luck back, the Colts offense should be able to go touchdown for touchdown with Tom Brady and the Patriots. Edelman is averaging 14 targets per game and should be able to find the end zone and provide you easily with 2x value on his price.

Willie Snead, New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons ($6,200)

Drew Brees looked a little healthier last week and the Saints offense usually plays better at home then on the road. A division match up with the Falcons should have the Saints focused in a must win game. The Saints projected team total is 24 points and the projected over/under is 51 total points. Snead has averaged eight targets per week since he emerged three weeks ago. I look for Snead to have about six catches for 60 yards and a TD and return two to three times value.

Leonard Hankerson, Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints ($5,800)

Hankerson is slightly banged up but should play in this big division match up. Julio Jones is hurting and could play as a decoy, if he does play. Hankerson has been the clear cut No. 2 WR in Atlanta this year. The Falcons projected team total is 27 points and the projected over/under is 51 total points. I look for Hankerson to have a solid game and should score a TD.

Bonus Pick if Hankerson doesn’t play.

Kamar Aiken, Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers ($6,000)

This game doesn’t project high team totals or a high over/under but anyone that has watched these two teams knows that neither team plays good defense. Both teams gave up huge passing totals last week and with Steve Smith Sr. out last week, Aiken was targeted eight times. Even if Smith returns this week, I think Aiken will play a big role in the passing game. Side note, Justin Forsett sprained his ankle and if he were to miss this game, Aiken could put up really big numbers.

3 Wide Receivers to Avoid

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints ($9,200)

Anyone that watched last weeks game knows that Julio Jones does not look like his explosive self. Funny how these NFL teams play their stars as decoys in this day and age, relatively crushing their Fantasy stats. So even if Jones is active this week, I would avoid him until he starts looking like himself again.

Pivot to DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars ($8,500)

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinals ($8,600)

This is starting to sound like a broken record but it’s very obvious to me that Antonio Brown won’t be Antonio Brown again until Ben Roethlisberger is back at QB for the Steelers. Not much to write about here.

Pivot to Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears ($8,200)

Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos at Cleveland Browns ($8,300)

Peyton Manning looks like his arm is getting weaker and weaker each week so far this season. The Browns run defense has allowed almost 150 yards per game and I think the Broncos game plan will be to run the ball and shorten the game as much as possible and look to leave Cleveland with a win.

Pivot to Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers vs. San Diego Chargers ($8,100)

That’s all for this week Good Luck and enjoy Week 6!!!!!!
