Life got in the way of my post last week so my apologies for the lack of my FanDuel Picks and Lineups. I am back this week however, and ready to crush some opponents, or at least enough of them to cash in this weekend.
Each week I will be listing players at each position I am targeting and likely using in many lineups.
I will also be sharing my actual lineup(s), perhaps not all of them, but at least one cash game (50/50 & H2H leagues) which I may use in both tournaments and cash games. This week I post two I am willing to play in both.
I will be focusing on FanDuel for this post, and will be sharing other lineups over on Athlon Sports as well as Twitter. If you are new to the game have fun, don’t go overboard, and hopefully we will win some moolah together this season.
Week 9 DFS Targets (Sunday and Monday Games)
Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on Fanduel consists of 1-QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, 1-TE, 1-K, and 1-DST

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers ($7,900)
Cam has somehow remained a force to be reckoned with although he doesn’t have any dominant weapons aside from Greg Olsen. Newton faces the Packers who were shut down and exposed last week. I am not expecting much of the same from Green Bay this week (even though I hope they lose again). Cam should be able to do damage to the Packers and I like him to finish as a top 5 QB this week.
(Averaging 20.8 FanDuel PPG)
Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills ($7,400)
Tannehill has a tough opponent this week, but I think he should bounce back somewhat to meet value after his atrocious Week 8. I don’t forsee Tanny being owned too heavily and he can save you some modest money to buy up at WR and RB this week which should suit you better.
(Averaging 17.5 FanDuel PPG)
Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons @ San Francisco 49ers ($8,900)
There really isn’t much to say or criticize about Freeman’s performance in 2015. He is legit, and even though he is a top 3 in salary at this point you can’t ask for a better matchup for the Falcons this week. Sign me up.
(Averaging 23.3 FanDuel PPG)
Darren McFadden, Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles ($6,500)
McFadden was nowhere near as productive in Week 8, but to be fair he faced a stout defense. This week the same can not be said and with the Cowboys current Quarterback struggle I can see DMC getting relied on heavily from the get go. A nice cheaper piece to load up on the Wide Receiver position this week.
(Averaging 10.4 FanDuel PPG)
Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts ($8,400)
Thomas has been a receiving beast this season, but for some reason the end-zone has allude dhim. I hope that ends this week and he can add a touchdown or two to his yardage and receptions. Even so he is averaging 14.5 points, and if he adds a few TD”s we may be doing cartwheels.
(Averaging 14.5 FanDuel PPG)
Ted Ginn Jr., Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers ($5,300)
This is a value pick, and part of the stack if I am using Cam. Ginn has been servicable and faces a secondary that is not notorious for shutting receivers down. If the Panthers can attack early Ginn could do some damage.
(Averaging 9.5 FanDuel Points per Week)
Tight End (If you can’t afford Rob Gronkowski)
Delanie Walker, Tenessee Titans @ New Orleans ($5,500)
Walker has become the top weapon in the Titans offense, and that will continue against a Saints defense that is not very strong. I like him to continue his consistent season so far with a hopeful TD.
(Averaging 9.9 FanDuel PPG)
Robbie Gould, Chicago Bears @ San Diego Chargers ($4,600)
Gould is a kicker, and there should be scoring opportunities in this game. Cheap price helps elsewhere too.
(Averaging 10.3 FanDuel PPG)
Tampa Bay Bucaneers vs New York Giants ($4,000)
This is hoping for a showing from the “Bad” Eli this week. If it comes we will have struck gold this week.
(Averaging 7.6 FanDuel PPG)
