There are 10 games to choose from in todays Daily Fantasy Baseball picks and since there are only a few early games, I will not be focusing on them as much today.

Last week seemed to be the week of the struggling pitchers, at least for me in Daily Fantasy Baseball. Here is to hoping Week 2 brings some dominant starts from the aces we know and love rather than walks and runs allowed.

Perhaps you need more help finding some diamonds in the rough along with my picks. If you are in to player projections, lineup builders and other cool tools, you should be checking out rotoQL. I tend to use these on days when I am crunched for time, and I have to admit this tool is fast, easy and I look forward to seeing how it does. Just be aware and use some of the tools I provide you as usual with the weather and daily lineup cards.

Stay tuned for updates on all things such as weather prior to first pitch tonight here.

You should also monitor starting lineups, which thankfully are typically submitted well before the games. Many lineup sites also include weather forecasts as well.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: April 12

A quick note: If I am only listing one player it is because they are essentially both a good value, and a top choice for me. Some positions and pricing haven’t quite balanced out yet on the Daily Fantasy Sites.

First Base

Travis Shaw, Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

(SP-Mike Wright)

Shaw has had a nice start to the season and produced points in all of his games so far. This should continue today against Wright and the O’s.

DraftKings: $3,700        FanDuel: $2,600

Wil Myers, San Diego Padres at Philadelphia Phillies

(SP-Charlie Morton)

Myers appears to be healthy and is playing well so far this season. Charlie Morton strikes fear in no one and Myers should be just fine at the plate today. Rightie vs. rightie aside.

DraftKings: $4,100        FanDuel: $3,400

Second Base

Brock Holt, Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

(SP-Mike Wright)

Holt is another cheap option in a favorable match up. He is also producing some solid numbers when he plays. Keep tabs on the starting lineup to see if you can use Holt today.

DraftKings: $ 3,400       FanDuel: $2,900

Third Base

Matt Duffy, San Francisco Giants at Colorado Rockies

(SP-Tyler Chatwood)

Matt Duffy may be my favorite play of the day today. He is at Coors Field and faces an underwhelming Tyler Chatwood. Aside from his two rough games over the weekend, he has been productive.

DraftKings: $4,400        FanDuel: $4,100

Daniel Murphy, Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves

(SP- Jhoulys Chacin)

If Duffy is too much or you don’t trust rightie vs. rightie, have a look at one of the hardest outs in baseball, Daniel Murphy. This is a plus play for today.

DraftKings: $4,200      FanDuel: $3,400

Trevor Story, Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants

(SP-Jeff Samardzija)

Can anyone deny Trevor Story right now or make an excuse not to play him against the struggling Samarzija at Coors Field today? I don’t think so.

DraftKings: $4,900        FanDuel: $4,700

Ketel Marte, Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers

(SP-Derek Holland)

This one is admittedly more of a dart. There aren’t too many positives or adavantages in Marte’s corner tonight, but I am rolling with him in lineups where I need to save some cash.

DraftKings:$3,500       FanDuel: $2,500

Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants

(SP-Jeff Samardzija)

DraftKings: $4,200      FanDuel: $3,500

Hanley Ramirez, Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

(SP-Mike Wright)

Another Red Sox player to add to the stack. I feel bad for ganging up on Mr. Wright, until I remind myself money is on the line here. Feelings be damned! Ramirez has been hitting very well so far this season and I don’t see it stopping today.

DraftKings: $4,500       FanDuel: $3,200

Nomar Mazara, Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners

(SP-Wade Miley)

How can I not use one of my favorite prospects who has hit the ground running since his call-up? Cheap price, high ceiling and a pitcher who isn’t known for over-powering stuff gets me excited.

DraftKings: $3,000       FanDuel: $2,700

Starting Pitcher

Noah Syndergaard, New York Mets vs. Miami Marlins

Syndergaard will be the chalkiest play today, but that doesn’t mean I won’t use him. In cash games especially, I am locked and loaded. His opponent is also a fantastic play, but is significantly more money in Jose Fernandez.

DraftKings: $10,400       FanDuel: $11,000

Aaron Sanchez, Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees

Sanchez has looked great so far this season and although the Yankees can do damage, I think the Blue Jays and Sanchez will hang with them just fine. Sanchez can miss bats so this should a productive day and easily meet value.

DraftKings: $5,900        FanDuel: $6,700
