This feels like the first time in forever my Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks post hasn’t involved a split slate. That gives us plenty of time to research, wait for lineups and potential scratches as well. It is a full slate with 15 games with a 6:05 pm start time, so let’s sneak a peek at some of these games now bright and early and see if we can’t stay in the green tonight.

Pirates stacks will be used plenty tonight as well as the Rockies. Any series at Coors field tends to become DFS gold. I am not looking to stack as much tonight as I have in the past, especially in GPP contests due to it’s popularity and ownership percentages. Opting for consistent players who may not be as chalky can be a successful strategy.

It doesn’t always work however, so if you want to ride with a Coors stack, or even an Oakland stack against Mike Pelfrey, more power to you!

If you are into player projections, lineup builders and other cool tools, you should be checking out rotoQL. I tend to use these on days when I am crunched for time, and I have to admit this tool is fast, easy and I look forward to seeing how it does. Just be aware and use some of the tools I provide you as usual with the weather and daily lineup cards.

Stay tuned for updates on all things such as weather prior to first pitch tonight here. You should also monitor starting lineups, which thankfully are typically submitted well before the games. Many lineup sites also include weather forecasts as well.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Tuesday, April 26

A quick note: If I am only listing one player it is because they are essentially both a good value, and a top choice for me. Some positions and pricing haven’t quite balanced out yet on the Daily Fantasy Sites.

Starting Pitchers

Chris Sale, Chicago White Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays

Yes, the Blue Jays lineup is lethal, and no pitcher is safe but Chris Sale is about as good as they get and if anyone is going to silence the Jays bats, it is Sale. Let’s just hope his squad will score some runs so he can get a win!

DraftKings: $12,000       FanDuel: $10,900

Edinson Volquez, Kansas City Royals @ Los Angeles Angels

Volquez has been averaging 20-plus Fantasy points over his past five games. Tonight should be another reasonable night for him if he can keep the potent bats in check for the Angels.

DraftKings: $8,200        FanDuel: $8,200

First Base

Anthony Rizzo, Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers (Nelson)

Rizzo should need no explanation for use. He is elite, and facing a pitcher like Nelson typically works in Rizzo’s favor.

DraftKings: $4,900        FanDuel: $4,600

Joey Votto, Cincinatti Reds @ New York Mets (Colon)

Votto gets on base and is a lock for some sort of production on any given night. Tonight against Colon makes him a great value if you want to save a little bit of moolah.

DraftKings: $4,300        FanDuel: $3,500

Second Base

Daniel Murphy, Washington Nationals vs Philadelphia Phillies (Velasquez)

Here he is again folks! Professional hitter against a young, but very good pitcher. I side with Murphy on this one.

DraftKings: $4,100        FanDuel: $3,500

Jean Segura, Arizona Diamondbacks vs St. Louis Cardinals (Martinez)

Segura at second base just feels weird to me, but it works on DraftKings so I will be using him tonight. This may not be an ideal or drool worthy matchup, but the price is right and Segura has been swinging a hot bat.

DraftKings: $3,500        FanDuel: $3,300

Third Base

Maikel Franco, Philadelphia Phillies @ Washington Nationals (Scherzer)

I know, I know he is facing Scherzer and this is risky as all get out. I am doing it anyway, especially if I need to save a few bucks.

DraftKings: $3,400        FanDuel: $2,900

Nick Castellanos, Detroit Tigers vs Oakland Athletics (Hill)

Castellanos has been solid this season and his chances for RBIs and to capitalize on Hill potentially struggling are pretty high tonight.

DraftKings: $4,000      FanDuel: $2,600

Shortstop

Francisco Lindor, Cleveland Indians @ Minnesota Twins (Nolasco)

Man oh man my Twins are looking terrible, and this matchup should be easy enough to meet value.

DraftKings: $3,700       FanDuel: $3,500

Aledmys Diaz, St. Louis Cardinals @ Arizona Diamondbacks (Miller)

Diaz has been a pleasant surprise this season and his price is beginning to reflect that. Miller has been atrocious this season and although he may right the ship tonight, I am thinking he has one more terrible outing left in him.

DraftKings:$3,900       FanDuel: $3,200

Outfielders

Colby Rasmus, Houston Astros @ Seattle Mariners (Karns)

Holy Rasmus. He has defined hot as of late and there is absolutely no reason to fade him against Karns tonight.

DraftKings: $4,200       FanDuel: $3,900

Michael Saunders, Toronto Blue Jays vs Chicago White Sox (Sale)

I know I said Sale is dominant and he is, but I have a hunch about Saunders tonight. So do our friends at rotoQL if that is worth anything to you.

DraftKings: $2,800       FanDuel: $3,200

Starling Marte, Pittsburgh Pirtates @ Colorado Rockies (De la Rosa)

I would be insane not to recommend at least one player who will be in Coors field tonight wouldn’t I? I like Marte’s five-category capability and he should be able to produce against De la Rosa.

DraftKings: $5,200       FanDuel: $4,400
