Greetings from SCFE’s 2018 Fantasy Golf Part Three. How’s everybody liking Fantasy Golf so far? I know I’m having fun. In Part One, I recapped the results of a live Fantasy Golf draft for the Masters. Part Two covered the scores and standings after the first round.

The second round of the Masters is now in the books, and some fortunes have shifted. Golf tournaments are like the survivability of Game of Thrones characters; things can change dramatically from day-to-day.

Like all Fantasy Sports, Fantasy Golf can be unpredictable. A team that looks great after the draft can crash and burn like Mike McD at Teddy KGB’s place in the beginning of Rounders. With only four rounds of scoring, anything can happen.

Of course, season-long Fantasy Golf could even things out. Maybe incorporate other categories (driving distance, greens in regulations, putting, etc.) in addition to scoring and draft a roster for the entire year. Maybe that could catch on.

At the Masters, Friday’s cut day brought things into focus. Now it’s time to head into moving day with SCFE’s 2018 Fantasy Golf Part Three.

As explained in Part One, this is a 12-team league with rosters of 7 golfers each. The teams use the lowest 4 golfers’ scores combined over the 4 rounds of the tournament. Lowest overall total at the end of the Masters wins. If a team does not have at least 4 golfers make the cut, however, that team is eliminated from contention.

There are the Round 2 results brought to you by SCFE’s 2018 Fantasy Golf Part Three. Like the Undertaker during his undefeated streak at WrestleMania (another venerable Spring tradition taking place this weekend), Team Dyn-o-mite! is dominating. This could turn into a rout. Stay tuned.

Cut day was the most unkindest of all for Welcome Back, Potter and Sharma’s Shawarma, who will be watching the rest of the results from the clubhouse. We hardly knew ye. This can happen to anyone in such a condensed scoring period, however. Single tournament Fantasy Golf requires courage.

Masters weekend is here. As Dodgeball’s Cotton McKnight so aptly said, there’s a palpable hue of anticipation. Up next are Round 3 scores, where golfers position themselves for their Sunday charge. Until next time, remember that a flute with no holes is not a flute; but a donut with no hole is a Danish.
