The All-Star Break — over. The weekend — over. My shot at a million dollars, (thanks to you Kevin Kisner) — over.

However, there is still plenty of time to build that bankroll as we creep into football season.

While everyone is gearing up for football, there is an opportunity for lots of overlay in DFS baseball.

As we look at today’s slate there isn’t really a lot of great pitching options. Every pitcher comes with a giant question mark next to his name. The only good thing about this is that you should be able to get some bats from Texas and Colorado.

So, let’s get into it shall we?

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for Monday, July 20

Starting Pitchers

Matt Harvey, New York Mets–  I’m going with Harvey because there is really no one else. I will say I don’t love it especially given the price tag but a lack of studs make this a little bit easier to swallow.

Andrew Heaney, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim but not the Anaheim Angels cuz ‘merica- Probably the best mid-tier option. The strikeouts and chance at a win are great. For the price tag, he will be my top option this evening. This will be game 2 of a doubleheader so he could be facing a suspect lineup.

John Jaso, Tampa Bay Rays– Despite the Unfrozen Cave Man Lawyer look I really love what Jaso has been bringing to the plate. (See what I did there, he’s a catcher, bringing it to the plate!) Over his last ten games, he’s batting .408 that’s including the stinker from yesterday.

Kyle Schwarber, Chicago Cubs– Looking for a great cheap option on Fanduel? This is your guy, especially if you are fading the Rockies, Rangers game.

First Basemen

Prince Fielder, Texas Rangers– I don’t really like to give chalk plays, but the fact that Fielder is cheaper than Paul Goldschmidt makes it hard to ignore. Especially considering where Fielder is playing tonight.

Wilin Rosario, Colorado Rockies– Another Colorado bat but at approximately $2000 less than Goldy, Fielder and Mitch Moreland.

Second Basemen

Joe Panik, San Franciso Giants– Joe Panik always seems to get no love from the DFS community and for this reason I love using him. Sure he isn’t going to give you great power numbers but look where he plays half of his games. Tonight he is in San Diego which isn’t a hitters park either, but he is batting .315 on the season.

Martin Prado, Miami Marlins– No Dee Gordon you say? Well, enter Martin Prado. This is a revenge game and Prado should get plenty of bats tonight. He also gets a nice park shift and one he is very familiar with.

Third Basemen

Nolan Arenado, Colorado Rockies– Coming off of a miserable series against the Padres Arenado should rebound nicely tonight. He is expensive but almost a necessity tonight. Offensively I will look to build around him.

Maikel Franco, Philadelphia Phillies– This play is solely based off the fact that Matt Moore has been terrible since his return to Major League Baseball. The ballpark is small and Matt Moore will give up dingers.

Elvis Andrus, Texas Rangers– Comes at a reasonable price given the fact that he is in Colorado tonight. It will be interesting to see where he hits in the lineup, but the discount from Tulo is too much to ignore.

Erick Aybar, Los Angeles Angels– Value play of the day. He should be in the second game as well. I expect the Angels to tee off on Steven Wright as he is just getting the call up for possibly just one game.

J.D. Martinez, Detroit Tigers– Has there been anyone hotter? Martinez is a slightly better hitter at home and when you get to face J.A. Happ you either run out of initials or you can expect a great game. I love J.D. this evening.

Nelson Cruz, Seattle Mariners– Nelson Cruz was killing the Angels Pre-Break and came crashing down over the weekend. I expect a nice rebound against Alfredo Simon.

Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels– How can you not? If you stay off of Harvey you can fit in Trout. Especially if you fade that game in Colorado.

In addition to these picks, these are the teams I’m looking to stack tonight that are not named the Rangers or Rockies — -Angels, Tigers, and Mariners.

My sneaky stack is actually the Phillies. I think they get to Moore and it’s strictly a hunch.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed my Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for Monday, July 20.
