I would like to welcome you back to the Daily Fantasy Football: FanDuel Picks and Lineups post this week. With the Holiday week, and plenty of other distractions my posts for Weeks 11 and 12 were missing. I hope you all had success without my help, in fact, you may have done better!
This week we are without bye weeks, and with a running back position that remains to be a mystery each and every week with injuries, inconsistent players and of course time-shares. This week I am going with two backs who are affordable and also in fantastic matchups.
I have constructed two lineups I like equally for this week and think we should be cashing in Week 13. A reminder these lineups are not intended to be GPP contest lineups, but primarily cash games. I do however enter these in a few GPP’s just in case, because you just never know.
Each week I will be listing players at each position I am targetting and likely using in many lineups. I will also be sharing my actual lineup(s), perhaps not all of them, but at least one cash game entry for (50/50 & H2H leagues).
I will be focusing on FanDuel for this post. If you are new to the game have fun, don’t go overboard, and hopefully we will win some moolah together this season.
FanDuel Picks and Lineups for Week 13
Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on Fanduel consists of 1-QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, 1-TE, 1-K, and 1-DST

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans ($9,000)
I have always been a big Cam Newton fan and this season has simply solidified his talent and ability to manage a game, as well as take it over when needed. This week he faces the Saints this week, and after a somewhat disappointing week 12 against Dallas he will be rolling once again this week.
(Averaging 22.8 FanDuel PPG)
Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins @ Baltimore Ravens ($7,800)
This is about as juicy of a matchup as you can get for a Quarterback this season. The question is will Tannehill be able to capitalize? We will see, but perhaps with the emergence of the rookie receiver DeVante Parker and of course Jarvis Landry the potential is always there. The Ravens secondary has allowed the second most Fantasy points to Quarterbacks this season.
(Averaging 17.2 FanDuel PPG)
DeAngelo Williams, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts ($7,200)
Williams has had one rough week since taking over the starting back role, and even that week wasn’t terrible (7.6 pts). This week he faces a defense nowhere near as tough as the Seahawks and he should be able to gobble up some points. The Colts are allowing over 17 points a game to opposing running backs.
(Averaging 19.8 FanDuel PPG since Week 9)
LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills vs Houston Texans ($7,800)
McCoy has looked like the Shady of old recently with his top notch speed, elusiveness and pass catching prowess coming back strong. He is an elite option at a less than elite price this week. Sign me up.
(Averaging 14.9 FanDuel PPG)
David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Cardinals ($5,800)
Johnson is my discount choice here, and oddly enough with minimal carries or snaps, he has averaged 8.5 points! This is solely for his nose for the end-zone, but this week Johnson will certainly be getting the lion share of the carries with Chris Johnson’s injury, and Andre Ellington battling turf toe.
(Averaging 8.5 FanDuel PPG)
Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts ($9,000)
This is Antonio Brown and I shouldn’t need to explain why you should play him when you can. Either way, he is the third most expensive receiver and I expect him to fare much much better in Week 13 than last week against the tough Seahawks secondary.
Keep tabs on Ben Roethlisberger’s health however. If he is not playing Brown’s status as a DFS starter should be questioned somewhat.
(Averaging 17.9 FanDuel PPG)
Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams ($7,300)
Fitzgerald has cooled off quick over the past five or more weeks. He does however see plenty of targets and in a game where receptions are rewarded he is worth a look at a middle of the road price as a WR2 this week. He has only seen less than 8 receptions four times this season so far.
(Averaging 16.2 FanDuel Points per Week)
Travis Benjamin, Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals ($5,900)
Travis Benjamin is an anomoly this season as he is on a rotten team with a carousel of quarterbacks but he has fared well with all of them! He is alos priced affordably because of his teamand fluctuating performance, but all in all Benjamin has been a dynamic and even reliable play this season. In a GPP contest at this price why not? The Bengals have a very good secondary but Benjamin can break through.
(Averaging 12.9 FanDuel Points per Week)
Greg Olsen Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints ($6,600)
Olsen may be the best tight end left in the league at this point. Paired up with Cam Newton and against the Saints is making me drool. Save at running back, and a little at WR and plug Olsen in this week.
(Averaging 12.8 FanDuel PPG)
Nick Novak, Houston Texans @ Buffalo Bills ($4,500)
Novak. He is a kicker.
(Averaging 5.8 FanDuel PPG)
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints ($4,900)
There is no reason to avoid the Panthers this week, or any week at this point. There performances have been phenomenal with 10, 8, 9, 19, and 21 points over their last five games. They may not necessarily break double-digits this week, but certainly will be a top five defense.
(Averaging 11.6 FanDuel PPG)
The Cash Lineup(s) (I would play these in some GPP Games as well)
The Second Lineup (GPP heavy and some Cash games)
