Back again and filled with desire for retribution for our Week 2 FanDuel Picks. Week 1 had so much promise to start with and sputtered out to be a disappointing venture. If you mimicked my lineups you may have come close to cashing, or even cashing a few 50/50’s, but by in large Lamar Miller, Odell Beckham Jr., C.J. Anderson and Greg Olsen stunk it up.
This week we will reach back into the well with some of these disappointing players. The cash Lineup put up 108.56 points, while my GPP was a stinker putting up only 78.94. This week I hope for more success, and more production from better known and more costly players.
Depending on how much time and effort you wish to put into your lineup(s) is up to you. If you are newer to Daily Fantasy FOotball, or even a veteran looking for some support and guidance, you can look forward to my weekly posts on DFS here on socalledfantasyexperts.com.
Each week I will be listing players at each position I am targeting and likely using in many lineups. I will also be sharing my actual lineup(s), perhaps not all of them, but at least one cash game (50/50 & H2H leagues) and one GPP game (Tournaments/Guaranteed contests.)
I will be focusing on FanDuel for this post, and will be sharing other lineups over on Athlon Sports as well as Twitter. If you are new to the game have fun, don’t go overboard, and hopefully we will win some moolah together this season.
If you would like my picks for DraftDay or Draftkings check out this post!

Much like Pitching in DFS Baseball, Quarterbacks are an important and vital part to your lineup each week. However, you do not always need to spend up on Quarterbacks. In cash games it is recommended to target a Top 5 quarterback.
Drew Brees, New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay ($8,900)
The Saints offense has several new cogs but with another week in the books, the hope is they are even more cohesive. Brees is an elite talent, especially with weapons such as Brandin Cooks, Marques Colston, C.J. Spiller and Brandon Coleman. Tampa Bay didn’t impress anyone in Week 1 and the Saints should be able to shred them.
Sam Bradford, Philadelphia vs. Dallas ($7,500)
Bradford fits the bill of a high ceiling value Quarterback yet again this week. This week Bradford faces the Cowboys. It was a tale of two halves in Week 1 and Bradford’s performance in the second half made him worthy of owning. The expectation is he is as consistent the entire game in Week 2 as he was in the second half of Week 1. Bradford makes a great play in GPP games as well.
Marshawn Lynch, Seattle at Green Bay ($8,500)
Lynch face the porous packers defense this week, and although the Pack may strike fear into opponents with their offense, their defense will be an Achilles heel once again. Matt Forte piled on 141 yards against the Packers last week, and Lynch is a back who is nearly unstoppable the more he gets the ball. Russell Wilson will not be forced to pass unless their defense fails them this week.
Ameer Abdullah, Detroit at Minnesota ($6,400)
Abduallah is not the focal point of the Lions offense, but he proved his worth in Week 1. He will be getting touches against the Vikings who allowed Carlos Hyde to devour them in Week 1. The Vikings tend to struggle against explosive pass-catching backs and Abduallh is poised to do plenty of damage this week.
Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants vs. Atlanta ($8,700)
Beckham was one of the big ticket receivers who disappointed in Week 1. I don’t foresee the struggles happening again in a game that should be a shoot-out. The Falcons showed they have an above average rebuilt defense but after last week the Giants will be coming guns a blazin’. That means Beckham is ready for a big game.
Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville ($7,100)
Landry is a ball hog and received plenty of attention in Week 1, including rewarding owners with a punt return for a touchdown. FanDuel is a .5 pt PPR format and that makes Landry well worth the cost this week against the Jaguars.
A.J. Green, Cincinnati vs. San Diego ($8,100)
The Bengals get the Chargers who have been trying to strengthen their secondary for a few seasons. Green’s final numbers look below average, but he dropped a pass in the end-zone in Week 1 that would have greatly skewed his line. He also dropped $200, so even more reason to roll him out there again.
Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati vs. San Diego ($5,900)
Eifert helped fuel the break-out season proponents in Week 1. Even if he doesn’t haul in two touchdowns again, he will continue to see targets, and if the Chargers can’t contain him, he could easily see 10 to 12 targets once again. Affordable and high ceiling, my kind of tight end.
Cody Parkey, Philadelphia vs. Dallas ($5,000)
Parkey should be plenty busy in this game, especially if my value Quarterback Bradford pays off. Honestly, Kickers oftentimes are like throwing darts. I just like the scoring chances most for Parkey.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys ($4,300)
The Cowboys had a devastating loss in Dez Bryant, and although they still have some weapons to utilize, they are certainly short-handed now. That leaves plenty of room for errors or forced throws from Tony Romo. The Eagles have an opportunistic defense that one wouldn’t expect to be very good, but they produce in the Fantasy realm. This is a great price too.
The Cash Lineup (I would play this in some GPP Games as well)
The GPP Lineup (I would play this in a few Cash Games as well)
Best of luck this week in your Daily Fantasy Football game.
