Well to call last week’s Daily Fantasy NBA picks and lineups a debacle would be an understatement.

I have had terrible outputs in the past but none as bad as last week’s.

Needless to say if you are still reading and trust my picks that is great. Everyone has am awful week now and again right?

Each week I will be listing players at each position I am targetting and likely using in many lineups. I will also be sharing my actual lineup(s), perhaps not all of them, but at least one for each major site. So far this season I have been using the same lineups in both cash games and tournaments.

If you are new to the game have fun, don’t go overboard, and hopefully we will win some moolah together this season.

Daily Fantasy NBA: Picks and Lineups For 2-5-16

Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on Fanduel must be built using $50,000 and consists of 2-Point Guards, 2- Shooting Guards, 2- Small Forward, 2-Power Forwards, and 1-Center

Scoring: 3 point shot= 3 pts; 2 point shot= 2 pts; Free Throws= 1 pt; Rebounds= 1.2 pts; Assists= 1.5 pts; Blocks= 2 pts; Steals= 2 pts; Turnovers= -1 pt

Remember a Starting DFS Lineup on DraftKings must be built using $50,000 and consists of 1-Point Guard, 1- Shooting Guards, 1- Small Forward, 1-Power Forwards, 1-Center, 1- Guard, 1- Forward and 1- Utility

Scoring: Point= 1 point; 3 point= +0.5 point; Rebound= 1.25 points; Assist= 1.5 points; Steal= 2 points; Block= 2 points; Turnover= -0.5 points; Double-Double= 1.5 points (1 time per player); Triple-Double= 3 points (1 time per player)

Point Guard

John Wall, Washington Wizards vs Philadelphia 76ers ($9,900 on FanDuel and $9,700 on DraftKings )

Wall is clearly the focal point on the Wizards at this point and has been playing very well. He had a huge game this past Wednesday night with 41 points, 10 assists and two steals.

Tonight he faces the sixers and Ish Smith. Not an overwhelmingly awesome matchup, but with Wall it shouldn’t matter. He does it all each and every night.
(Averaging 41.2 FanDuel PPG and 45.1 DraftKings PPG)

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics ($7,000 on FanDuel and $6,800 on DraftKings)

Irving has been consistently scoring around 20 points a game and dishing out assists every game.He is currently looking putrid from three-point land however, and hopefully tonight is one of the nights he can get it going again. Either way he is an affordable option tonight in a tough matchup with Boston. The Celtics have been shutting down point Guards rather well this season to a tune of 35.2 FPPG, but I like Irving as a contrarian and cheaper play tonight.

(Averaging 27.1 FanDuel PPG and 28.7 DraftKings PPG)

Shooting Guard

Aaron Afflalo, NY Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies ($4,900 on FanDuel and $4,700 on DraftKings)

The Grizzlies are a tough as nails opponent when it comes to defense, but as of late Afflalo has been a lone bright spot for the Knicks. Last night he put up 24 points, two steals and three rebounds.

He may not be able to have a monster performance but he should meet his value in a tough matchup or not for the Knicks tonight.

(Averaging 21.5 FanDuel PPG and 22.8 DraftKings PPG)

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks ($7,200 on FanDuel and $7,800 on DraftKings)

Leonard has been putzing along since January and because of this his cost has dipped significantly.

His performance on Wednesday was a breath of fresh air and I am thinking as sign of him heating up again becoming the elite option he really is. Tonight he doesn’t have a great matchup defensively with the Mavericks but I am trusting in of my favorite DFS plays tonight.

(Averaging 35.6 FanDuel PPG and 37.8 DraftKings PPG)

Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic vs Los Angeles Clippers ($5,000 on FanDuel and $5,600 on DraftKings) (note: Gordon qualifies as a Power Forward on FanDuel)

The Clippers are not pushovers when it comes to defense so Gordon should be in for a tough night, but his cost and potential outweigh his risk tonight.

Gordon has been a double-double machine the past week, and helped cement himself as a starter going forward for the Magic. Use him while the price is right folks.

(Averaging 18.1 FanDuel PPG and 19.1 DraftKings PPG)

Power Forward

Thaddeus Young, Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings ($6,400 on FanDuel and $6,200 on DraftKings )

Young’s cost is reasonable considering the consistent output he produces every night. Rebounds and points are consistent, and he is coming off of another double-double. The Kings rank as the seventh worst defense against Young’s position this season so I don’t forsee an slowing the big man down tonight.

(Averaging 29.9 FanDuel PPG and 32 DraftKings PPG)

Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls @ Denver Nuggets ($5,300 on FanDuel and $5,800 on DraftKings)

The Nuggets have been playing some raunchy defense against the Power Forward position this season allowing 45.7 FPPG. Gibson may not be an elite player, but at this price and matchup you can’t go wrong.

(Averaging 20.7 FanDuel PPG and 21.7 Draft Kings PPG)

Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings ($8,900 on FanDuel and $7,700 on DraftKings)

Lopez is one of the hottest players right now so his cost on Draft Kings is delightful. He costs significantly more on FanDuel and it is still likely worth it. He faces DeMarcus Cousins, so don’t expect a beastly performance but the way he has been playing lately he figures to be a big part of the Nets offense. Hopefully he stays out of foul trouble early.

(Averaging 35.9 FanDuel PPG and 38 DraftKings PPG)

The Lineup(s):

With the trend of late scratches, injury updates and late lineup locks I have decided to try and share the lineups later in the day and closer to tip-off.
