A.J and Joe are back to discuss what for most of you was the first week of the Fantasy Football Playoffs.
We start with some fun, or maybe not so fun depending on what side of the coin you fall, bad beat stories from Richard Savill’s FSWA (Fantasy Sports Writers Association) league.
Injuries Complicate Fantasy Football Playoffs
Next we get into the weeds discussing all the injuries that likely affected your Fantasy matchup this week. A lot of big name players went down early in games and owners were left with zeros, or close to it. If you were lucky enough to move on we’ll tell you how to prepare going forward without your star players including Andy Dalton, Thomas Rawls and possibly even T.J. Yeldon and Jonathan Stewart.
Finishing up the Week 14 discussion we will run through the busts and saviors from the first week of the Fantasy playoffs. These players either helped you move on (if you started them. ahem Isaiah Crowell), or sent you packing. A lot of those players that had you throwing things this weekend were your “studs” too, proving that even the best players can get shut down in the right matchup.
Winter Meeting Wrapup
Last week we discussed most of the major moves that took place during the winter meetings. This week we touch on the few that took place after the winter meetings ended, including Johnny Cueto to the Giants, Steve Cishek to the Mariners and Jason Heyward to the Cubs. We have a bit of a disagreement about the Heyward contract and whether or not he should have been paid that much.
Week 15 Preview
As always we close the show with our waiver wire pick ups for the week, best/worst game of week 15 and our sleeper/bust picks to help you make those tough semi-final decisions and set those DFS lineups.
