SCFE Fantasy Baseball Podcast 1.04 – Building Your Dynasty

SCFE Fantasy Baseball podcast-1-1

Another week brings us another installment of the “So-Called Fantasy Experts” podcast! After a few failed attempts I finally got Patrick Wallace to join us to talk about his dynasty rankings. We even got a brief, guest appearance from his dog and dogs just make everything better.

Dynasty leagues are my new favorite pastime and I get the feeling I’m not the only one. Us Fantasy Baseball folk love projecting what today’s crop of young studs can and will do in 5 years so we took a good, hard look at who Patrick would want to start his dynasty team with.

Spoiler Alert – his top 10 does not include Clayton Kershaw or Jose Abreu. Think he’s crazy? We discussed who else he ranked over those guys and why.

Have some tough positional choices to make? We debated the Chicago quandary between Jose Abreu of the White Sox and Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs. We didn’t forget the hot corner either and debated between the Nationals’ Anthony Rendon and the Rockies’ Nolan Arenado.

Patrick is a big George Springer fan, which is fine with me as Springer and I once shared a campus at the University of Connecticut, and we predict what type of season he could have this year.

We discuss when and how to handle drafting minor league prospects, how to approach shaky closers and what the hell do we do with Mookie Betts and Rusney Castillo? All that and more on the fourth installment of the SCFE podcast!
