Another one bites the dust. Fantasy Football owners received what has become their weekly routine punishment, losing a trusted Daily Fantasy Football, matchup proof favorite in New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman. In what seems like an endless amount of confusing storylines, we can now add Week 10 to the mix. Ben Roethlisberger was apparently healthy enough to start, but didn’t, and Peyton Manning was too injured to start, but did anyway.
The great thing about playing Daily Fantasy Football contests at FanPicks.com is how easy they’ve become to predict. Blake Bortles was the start of the week at quarterback against a brutal Baltimore Ravens secondary. Antonio Brown was an obvious stay away with Landry Jones at the helm. Doug Martin had that tasty matchup against the Dallas Cowboys’ porous run defense. It’s like stealing candy from a baby! (Unfortunately, they proceeded to actually play the games).
Allen Robinson and Jarvis Landry came through, as they always do, as both offer one of the best Fantasy Football floors available in both Daily Fantasy Football cash leagues and weekly Fantasy Football leagues. Sign me up for these guys every week!
Kirk Cousins and Ronda Rousey must have come to some type of covert side arrangement, agreeing to switch places for a week on the Success-O-Meter. I said it last week but it remains true once again; Derek Carr and Eli Manning lead the NFL in touchdown passes since Week 2. Unbelievable! Jordan Reed and Gary Barnidge are the new Jimmy Graham, while Jimmy Graham is now the new … (insert irrelevant tight end name here).
It took 21 targets for Davante Adams to reel in those 10 catches this week against a subpar set of cornerbacks (only 79 yards by the way). I don’t know what’s going on with the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers, but 61 pass attempts against the Detroit Lions, in a loss? DeAngelo Williams in Week 9 and now Adrian Peterson in Week 10. So much for avoiding the Oakland Raiders run defense going forward.
Week 10 Daily Fantasy Football Review: FanPicks Edition
Week 10 Surprise Performances
Peyton Manning, QB, Denver Broncos
I’m officially upset with you, Peyton Manning. Not because you completed only 5-of-20 passes, not because you only threw for 35 yards and not because you threw four interceptions before being benched in the same game you set the NFL passing record. I am annoyed that you are the reason I cannot seem to escape texts, memes, gifs etc. with the phrase, “Let’s Brock and Roll.” Sigh…
Jeremy Langford, RB, Chicago Bears
Through nine weeks of the NFL season, the St. Louis Rams defense was in the Top 11 in the NFL in rushing yards allowed and average rushing touchdowns allowed per game. The Rams had only allowed 25-percent of their opponents to exceed 130 rushing yards and 25-percent of their opponents to exceed 250 passing yards. Langford was projected to get the volume, but was an average play given the matchup. He finished with 182 total yards and two touchdowns. Daily Fantasy Football fans are hoping Matt Forte takes his time before rushing back into the lineup.
Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Listed below are the production totals for the last four weeks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. Dez Bryant found no such luck this weekend as he was pushed, pulled, grabbed and most importantly, shut down. The Cowboys targeted Dez 12 times but rarely connected as he walked away with five receptions for 45 yards.
Odell Beckham Jr., 9-105
Julio Jones, 12-162 1 TD
Jordan Reed 11-72 2 TD
Allen Hurns 5-116 1 TD / Allen Robinson 7-72 2 TD
