Week 11 of Daily Fantasy Football is here and as the season dwindles down it makes me wonder where Daily Fantasy Football will be next season. Government elected officials are trying to take this great game away from us and have started to do so in some states already. I know it may not be perfect, but this great game can be very enjoyable if played the right way.
I take pride in trying to teach people how to play this great game the right way and I wrote a great article for this website in the preseason and I suggest it as a must read for all new players and a nice refresher for all seasoned players as well. You can find the article in my bio under latest posts located at the bottom of this page. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and this great game will be here to stay for years to come.
Week 11 teams on bye: Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers

Let’s get to this week’s Daily Fantasy Football value plays and ones to avoid.
Week 11 Daily Fantasy Football
3 Value Wide Receivers
Michael Crabtree, Oakland Raiders at Detroit Lions ($6,500)
Crabtree has a great match up vs. the weak Detroit Lions defense this week. The project point total is 25 points scored and the projected over/under is 48 points. This game projects as a shootout and Crabtree is a great red zone threat. Amari Cooper might have the big name and great skill set, but Crabtree has been playing great and should bounce back from a mediocre performance last week.
Danny Amendola, New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills ($6,100)
When Julian Edelman went down with an injury last week, Amendola stepped in admirably finishing with 10 catches for 79 yards. The Bills have a good overall defense, but there are some holes in their pass defense. The Patriots won’t be able to run against the Bills run defense and Rob Gronkowski should command a lot of attention in the secondary. Look for Amendola to rack up a lot of those Edelman and Dion Lewis targets in this Patriots offense. Amendola should easily make 2x value this week and should easily score over 12 points.
Stevie Johnson, San Diego Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs ($5,600)
The Chargers are coming off a bye week and need a WR to replace Keenan Allen who is out for the year. Philip Rivers should target Johnson a lot in this offense and the extra week of practice could have helped them get some chemistry. Johnson had some good games early this season when Antonio Gates was suspended and now he should excel with Allen being out. The weak Chargers defense is going to have them playing in a lot of shootouts and Rivers should be able to find Johnson a lot this week. Johnson should score a TD, giving him a very good chance of reaching 3x value.
3 Wide Receivers to Avoid
Brandon Lafell, New England Patriots vs .Buffalo Bills ($6,900)
This play is purely based on the facts that Lafell will be lining up against the Bills top DB, Stephon Gillmore, and that just isn’t a good match up for Lafell. Now Brady can burn me on this pick, but when making the choice on paper, this is a situation I just want to avoid.
Pivot to Golden Tate $6,200
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings ($6,800)
Adams has really been targeted a lot the past three weeks and has emerged as the No. 2 WR for the Packers. This is another indepth match up analysis that is making me avoid Adams as he will be lining up mostly against Terence Newman. Adams lines up 57-percent of the time on the right side of the offensive formation and Newman lines up 81-percent of the time on the left side of the defensive formation. This should result with these two matching up a lot and it just isn’t a good matchup for Adams unless it’s down in the red zone where Adams could use his height advantage over Newman.
Pivot to Rishard Matthews $6.400
Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers ($6,700)
Staying with the indepth match up analysis, this is another match up that jumped out at me and Diggs has struggled the past two weeks with 6.6 and 5.7 point performances. Diggs lines up on the left side 65-percent of the time and the Packers top DB, Sam Shields, lines up on the right side 89-percent of the time. Diggs should continue to not make value this week and should be avoided.
Pivot to Dorial Green-Beckham $5,500
That’s all for this week and if you are a Daily Fantasy Football player please get involved with the effort to keep our games we love available to all of us because you never know what state will be next.
