Welcome to the Week 13 version of Daily Fantasy Football D/ST Value Plays.
The 2015 season is starting to take its toll on players, as team after team continue to place players on season-ending injured reserve. With the loss of such high-impact players like Joe Flacco, Jimmy Graham, Josh McCown, Steve Smith and many more, teams are thin on star power and forced to play far more inferior players at the most important positions.
As teams dance around injuries and try to formulate respectable lineups each week, opposing teams are gifted extremely favorable matchups that could become a Fantasy Wonderland. Week 13 provides us with several Fantasy-Wonderland matchups that Daily Fantasy Football players should strongly consider putting in a few lineups.
As I’ve mentioned many times, do not pay up for the top defense. Getting value at your D/ST position is crucial if you want to beat the masses.
With all that being said, let’s take a look at Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football D/ST value plays and take a trip to Fantasy Wonderland.
Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football
3 Daily Fantasy Football Value Plays at D/ST
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns ($5,100)
After putting up 17 Fantasy points against the St. Louis Rams last week, the Bengals’ price has jumped to $5,100, as they go on the road to face the 2-9 Browns. Browns’ QB Josh McCown is now out for the season and they will be starting QB Austin Davis in Week 13.
The Bengals defense is starting to hit on all cylinders and could be playing with some extra fire, as they have a chance to clinch a playoff spot with four weeks remaining in the season. If you want to pay up for a D/ST, riding a hot Bengals’ defense could prove to be a wise decision.
Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens ($4,500)
This isn’t as much about the Dolphins’ defense as it is about the Ravens’ offense. Sure, they put up 33 points against a bad Browns’ defense in Week 12, but Matt Schaub is still their quarterback – and, oh by the way – he threw yet another pick-6 last week. Schaub is an aggressive passer with limited arm strength and has a knack for making bad decisions.
Add that to the fact that the Ravens are without any real legitimate threat on offense (Buck Allen, don’t get mad at me), the Dolphins should be a lock for 2-3 interceptions. At $4,500, the Dolphins, playing at home against the Canadian Football Leaguers (AKA Baltimore Ravens), should easily return value and put some cash in your pocket.
Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys ($4,400)
The Redskins have now won five straight home games and will host a battered and bruised – and Tony Romo-less – Cowboys’ team on Monday Night Football. The Redskins have played well of late and are carrying a ton of momentum into Monday night’s tilt against their archrivals. As an extra incentive, the first-place Redskins are in the driver’s seat to win the NFC East and shouldn’t have any issues putting an inept Cowboys’ offense out of its misery.
Over the past three weeks, the ‘Skins’ D/ST has recorded seven sacks and five interceptions. Add that to the fact that Dallas has allowed the second-most Fantasy points to opposing D/STs this season, and you have the recipe for a strong value play in Week 13.
Good luck in Week 13 and let our Daily Fantasy Football Value Plays help you build that million-dollar lineup. And in the event that you win, we take donations.
