For as much as I thought Week 11 was bad, Week 12 was way worse. My picks in this article were worse than the 2015 Lakers and Sixers match-up. I whiffed big time on DeAndre Hopkins, but what “so-called expert” didn’t like him this week?

Carson Palmer, my top quarterback, looked very pedestrian. Brian Hoyer, meh!

It wasn’t all bad, we did hit Odell Beckham Jr., who once again had a catch the media blew way out of proportion. Our running backs did what they were supposed to do but nothing special.

Well, let’s dive into Week 13. This week the salaries are very loose as there is too much value but maybe after our horrendous November we can bounce back a bit in December.

Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football: DraftKings Picks

Quarterback

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints ($7,400)

Ok, the premise is simple, start quarterbacks against the Saints. Cam could be heavily-owned, but lately I have seen a lot of line-ups go cheap on quarterbacks so they can load up on elite receivers. This week I can see a lot of people paying up at quarterback, so why not take a guy who faces the 32nd-ranked pass defense. Cam is $600 less than Brady, who has a nice match-up of his own.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts ($6,600)

Ben was a little shook up toward the end of the game last week against the Seahawks. He has entered the concussion protocol this week but is expected to play. The salary is too low to ignore and the Colts don’t exactly stop anyone defensively. I heart Ben ja’ meen this week!

Running Back

C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers ($3,500)

As long as Brock Osweiler is playing, the Denver running game will be deadly. If Anderson gashed the Patriots, the game against San Diego should be a fun one. Remember I said there was value? Well here you go, but you knew this already. He will be the chalkiest of the chalk so in tournaments I wouldn’t blame you for not selecting C.J., but the price tag is ridiculous.

LeSean McCoy Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans ($5,700)

McCoy was one of my favorite picks this year in season-long leagues. While it has taken him awhile to get going, he has picked it up as of late. The last time he hasn’t scored or ran for 100 yards was Week 7. Houston, for as good as they have been as of late, allows an average of 113 yards a game to the running backs.

Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts (Does it matter?)(8,600)

While it’s not the Raiders, the Colts are not stopping Brown this week. You can take that to the bank. It’s nice to have my favorite stack back! Antonio will be in 100 percent of my lineups this week.

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($9,000)

You are always paying up for stud receiver and this week is no exception. I think recency bias may keep Julio under-owned this week and that’s a win for all of us. The Bucs were shredded by the ageless wonder Peyton Manning  Matt Hasselbeck. I know Matt Ryan has been anything but the Ice man, but I look for the Falcons to make a statement this week in a very meaningful game.

Danny Amendola, New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles ($4,700)

Forget it. The Eagles would like to. As much as I hate to admit it, the Chip Kelly experience is gone. The Eagles have taken their (foot)balls and went home. This is a good thing for us DFS’ers. Once again they provide a nice value play for us which allows us to really spend on our favorite receivers. This game also features the highest over-under of the day. Rest in Peace, Eagles defense.

Tight End

Scott Chandler New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles ($2,500)

If Gronk plays, don’t do it. The Patriots don’t give up much information so we will be waiting on Gronk, but I can’t see him playing. Chandler’s ownership will be ridiculous. A great tournament fade, but let’s be honest just don’t.

Flex

Jarvis Landry Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens ($6,700)

This guy is a PPR gold mine and is under-appreciated due to his team. Landry is always in the mix for catches, yards, touchdowns and he returns punts so he makes for a great stack with the Miami DST. I like Landry a lot this week, besides, if Austin Davis can put up numbers, so can Ryan Tannehill.

DST

Miami Dolphins ($2,300)

One of the cheapest defenses of the week. They are at home and are welcoming career pick sixer, Matt Schaub. Same applies this week for Miami. Pair with Landry!

Other things of Note

  • Falcons focus. I really think the Falcons are going to go nuts this week. I like Ryan, Julio and Devonta Freeman as a sneaky tournament option.
  • The Thursday game is going to be interesting. I have no problem rostering players from either side. I won’t, but it’s not a must-fade game. There is plenty of value elsewhere.
  • As far as off the radar picks I like the following: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Shaun Draughn and DeVante Parker.

Good luck and hopefully, my Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football DraftKings Picks will help propel you to victory!
