Week 1 was the week of the tight end. Week 2 the week of the receiver, and I have a sneaking suspicion that Week 3 will be more of the same. Unfortunately, our heroes Antonio Brown and Julio Jones have received a significant price bump, but we don’t care because there is plenty of value this week.

Let’s talk about some of that value in my Week 3 Daily Fantasy Football Draftkings Picks.

Carson Palmer, Quarterback, Arizona Cardinals ($6,600) – Carson Palmer is tied for first in passing touchdowns with Tom Brady. The difference is the price. Palmer is a lofty $1,100 in savings from Brady. While people are drooling over Brady against Jacksonville, I’ll take my chances on Palmer versus a suspect San Francisco passing defense.

Running backs

Joseph Randle, Running Back, Dallas Cowboys ($5,100) – Do you trust anyone in Dallas at this point? I don’t trust this receiving corps, I don’t trust the quarterback and I don’t trust Randle’s backups. However, I don’t know what the heck is Dallas is going to do except turn around and hand off the ball. I like Randle just based on the volume alone.

Latavius Murray, Running Back, Oakland Raiders ($5,800)– Murray has yet to have a 100-yard game this year, but he is very active in the passing game and is one of my favorites this week. The Browns rank last in yards allowed on the ground, allowing 160 yards per game.

Wide Receivers

Antonio Brown, Wide Receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers ($8,900) – Once again, I don’t mess around when it comes to stud receivers, I present you Exhibit A. There is plenty of good value to be had this week. You must fit in Brown each and every week.

Julio Jones, Wide Receiver, Atlanta Falcons ($9,000) – I present you Exhibit B. Julio, once again, makes the cut for all my lineups. While Dallas’ defense has been better than any of us anticipated through two weeks, this week we find out what they are all about. Julio will also be in most of my lineups.

Stevie Johnson, Wide Receiver, San Diego Chargers ($4,300) – I’ll admit, in Week 2 I drank the Keenan Allen Kool-aid. That was a mistake. I should’ve went with Stevie Johnson instead of blowing my cash on what happened on Week 1. Nonetheless, I’m going with Stevie this week versus the Vikings. I like him to score. (On the football field you pervs.)

Tight End

Richard Rodgers, Tight End, Green Bay Packers ($2,500) – Another $2,500 dolla balla! Say what!? Look, I wanted to tell you about Gary Barnidge, but I think the Raiders will try to focus on the tight end this week. This is why I’m pivoting to Richard Rodgers. This price is too low for a tight end who will be a very sneaky play this week.

Dion Lewis, New England Patriots ($4200) – Here’s yet another cheap option. The price on Lewis does not reflect how involved Lewis has been in every aspect of the Patriots game plan this year. I suspect New England is going to run up the score on the Jaguars and Lewis will be in that mix. If there is a reason to not play Lewis, it’s because on any given Sunday, the Patriots could go to a different back.

Seattle Seahawks ($3400) – I’m paying up for defense this week. Everything points to disaster with Chicago. Here are some reasons to play Seattle: it will be Seattle’s first home game of the season, Jimmy Clausen is starting, the Bears receiving corps is banged up and some guy named Kam Chancellor is playing. Paying up for the ‘Hawks may be a chalk play, but it’s one I’m doing.

Once again, I’m staying off of the Thursday games, but I’m going to take the money of the people who just have to play the Thursday slate. If you just have to play anyone, I would look at the following players; Jordan Reed, Tight End, Washington Redskins ($3,800), Odell Beckham Jr., Wide Receiver, New York Giants ($9,000) and Pierre Garcon, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins ($5,200). I’d rather pay $9,000 for Julio personally, but hey it’s your money.

Good luck this week and as always, if I did well please follow me on Twitter. If I did not do well, my name is Matthew Berry.
