Well, we (So Called Fantasy Experts) did it again everyone. Let’s look back at who I liked more and who I liked less and check out the results. I loved Martellus Bennett as long as he was targeted against the Raiders and he certainly showed up with 11 receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown! That is a major score for us this week. I really hope you started him if you had him. Let’s look at my other TEs that I liked more this past week. Charles Clay caught nine balls for 111 yards, which is absolutely great production. Overall, a great Week 4!
Did we hit on the two Jordan’s (Reed and Cameron) in terms of who I liked less? Of course we did! Look at these stats: Jordan Cameron two catches for 19 yards and Reed five catches for 37 yards. I hope you stayed away from both Jordan’s last week.
This week will be a player who is not exactly a big name but one who will be productive nevertheless. We will look at the So Called Fantasy Experts rankings for tight ends in order to find our diamond in the rough as well as the not so pretty play of the week.
As I carefully looked at the SCFE rankings, I noticed that I like a lower ranked TE as a good play this week. We know guys like Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce should do well, but let’s dig down a bit deeper this week.
I will now reveal the Week 5 Tight End Rankings Reaction and “Who I Like More” and “Who I Like Less” and it may surprise you!
Week 5 Tight End Rankings Reactions
Who I Like More
Owen Daniels, Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders
Even though this game’s total is at 43.5, don’t be fooled. The Denver Broncos are going to have most of those points and much of it will come through the production of Owen Daniels. Daniels (ranked eighth), the love of Head Coach Gary Kubiak’s life struggled out of the gate but has recently picked it up. His targets and catches aren’t exactly high but his touchdown production is coming on. Daniels has caught a touchdown in both of the last two weeks. Daniels has the good fortune of playing against the Oakland Raiders and we learned last week that the Raiders love to let tight ends score. Start him with confidence as you will see him score at least once!
Broncos TE @owendaniels w/TD catch for 2nd consec game. He has a catch in 107 consec games, marking the longest active streak by an NFL TE.

Who I Like Less
Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Seattle Seahawks
I know that Tyler Eifert (ranked seventh) started out hot but he has cooled off as of late. After his monster Week 1 performance of over 100 yards and two touchdowns, his receptions have decreased each of the past three weeks. I don’t see Dalton fairing very well after watching what the Seattle defense has done to quarterbacks the past couple of games since Kam Chancellor returned. Last week, Matthew Stafford looked absolutely dreadful and barely eclipsed 200 yards passing and had zero touchdowns. The week before, they made a dreadful Bears team punt on every possession. As tough as it is for me, I say I definitely like Eifert less this week.
This is a week where we are “swinging for the fences and are going against the norm. We have been on a roll this week so there is no reason to expect anything less. Follow the road map I have provided and reap the rewards. Good Luck to your team and your tight end in Week 5!
