Week 5 had some major injury issues pop up, and some great players missing time.

We say so long to Jamaal Charles for the 2015 season.

But the Week 6 injury report has some good news in it.

Marshawn Lynch is trending in the right direction. Andrew Luck is too. And plenty more information is located just below.

So let’s take a look at the first Week 6 injury report.

Week 6 Injury Report

Arizona Cardinals

John Brown, WR

Brown did not practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury. He is expected back in practice later in the week, so monitor his situation here Saturday.

Update:

Brown was limited in pactice on Thursday and Friday. He is probable for Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons

Devonta Freeman, RB

Freeman didn’t practice on Tuesday, but returned to a full practice on Wednesday. Expect a heavy dose of Freeman Thursday night.

Julio Jones, WR

Jones was limited with toe and hamstring injuries, but is probable to play on Thursday night.

Leonard Hankerson

Hankerson was limited on Tuesday, but practiced fully on Wednesday in preparation for Thursday night. Expect to see him out there.

Baltimore Ravens

Justin Forsett, RB

Forsett suffered an ankle injury last week. He was not a participant in practice Wednesday. It sure looked like a high ankle sprain to my untrained eye, but check his status later in the week.

Update:

Forsett was limited on Friday and is questionable for Sunday. If you read that the Ravens sign a back it’s not a good sign, but if they don’t, he will likely play. Check Sunday to see if he is active.

Steve Smith Sr., WR

Smith Sr. was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. This is a positive development after Smith has missed time with broken bones in his back. It remains to be seen if he can make it back this week.

Update:

Smith Sr. is officially questionable for Sunday, but with multiple broken bones in his back, he is unlikely to suit up on Sunday.

Crockett Gillmore, TE

Gilmore was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. After missing the last few weeks with a calf injury, it is uncertain if Gilmore will play this week.

Update:

Gillmore was limited all week in practice and is questionable for Sunday. Make sure to check if he is active Sunday morning.

Buffalo Bills

Tyrod Taylor

Taylor has an MCL injury. Although he isn’t yet officially out this week, and was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, I don’t expect to see him this week. Check back for an update later in the week.

Update:

Taylor was limited all week in practice. He is officially questionable for Sunday. Taylor is a game time decision.

LeSean McCoy, RB

McCoy was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. This is a step in the right direction, but McCoy will need to get conditioned and return to full practice to play this week.

Update:

McCoy is listed as probable after a week of limited practice. He has stated that he is not 100-percent, but will probably play.

Karlos Williams, RB

Williams did not practice on Wednesday after being out last week with a concussion. Check back later in the week to see if he is still in the protocol.

Update:

Williams is out this week with a concussion.

Percy Harvin, WR

Harvin had his usual rest day Wednesday.

Update:

Harvin had a full practice on Thursday, and then was limited on Friday. He is listed as questionable for Sunday. You should make sure he is active if you plan on putting him in your lineup this week.

Sammy Watkins, WR

Watkins was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. He wants to get back on the field after being out with a calf injury. Check back later in the week to see if Watkins can progress this week.

Update:

Watkins is officially questionable for Sunday with a calf injury. After a week of limited practice Watkins said he wants to play through his calf injury. Make sure he is active on Sunday.

Charles Clay, TE

Clay was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday after suffering a calf injury last week. Check back to see what his status is later in the week.

Update:

Clay was limited in practice this week. In spite of this, Clay is probable this week.

Carolina Panthers

Nothing to see here.

Chicago Bears

Alshon Jeffery, WR

Jeffery was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. This was how he started last week as well, but then missed the game after being out on Friday. He is a must check player later in the week to see if he keeps practicing.

Update:

Jeffery was limited in practice all week. He is listed as questionable. With the Bears going on bye next week, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him rested one more game to make sure he is ready to go after the bye.

Eddie Royal, WR

Royal did not practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Royal missed the game last week with his injury, and his status this week is in doubt.

Update:

Royal returned to limited practice on Thursday and Friday. With all the other injuries the bears have, I would expect Royal to go this week. Check the inactives on Sunday to make sure.

Martellus Bennett, TE

Bennett suffered a quad injury on Thursday in practice. His status for this weekend is in doubt. Check his status on Sunday morning.

Cincinnati Bengals

Marvin Jones, WR

Jones was limited in practice on Wednesday with a foot injury. He is expected to play this week, but make sure to check his progress later this week.

Update:

Jones returned to full practices on Thursday and Friday. He should be a go.

Cleveland Browns

Josh McCown, QB

McCown was limited in practice Wednesday with an ankle injury. He is expected to play this week, but make sure to check back later to be certain.

Update:

McCown is probable for Sunday after being limited all week in practice.

Isaiah Crowell, RB

Crowell was limited in practice on Wednesday with a toe injury. He doesn’t appear to be in line to miss the game this week, but make sure to check the updated version later in the week.

Update:

Crowell was limited all week. He is listed as questionable for this week. Make sure you check his status Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys

Bye

Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning, QB

Manning has a rest day on Wednesday.

Demaryius Thomas, WR

Thomas was out of practice on Wednesday with a neck injury. Thomas played through this injury last week, so it seems likely he will again.

Update:

Thomas was limited on Friday in practice. He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday. I would expect him to go Sunday, but make sure to clarify his status for this week.

Owen Daniels, TE

Daniels missed practice on Wednesday. This is how his week started last week, so make sure to see if he progresses later this week.

Update:

Daniels returned to full practice on Thursday and Friday.

Detroit Lions

Joique Bell, RB

Bell was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Welcome back to the crowd Mr. Bell.

Theo Riddick, RB

Riddick showed up on the injury report on Thursday, and was out of practice on Friday with a groin injury. He is questionable for Sunday.

Eric Ebron, TE

Ebron was a limited participant on Wednesday. This was an unexpected development. Ebron was slated to be out for one to two more games. Check his progress later this week.

Update:

Ebron is out this week.

Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams, WR

Adams was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Adams is trying to come back from an ankle sprain and his progress should be checked later in the week.

Update:

Adams is questionable for Sunday. He said he is unsure if he will be able to play Sunday.

James Jones, WR

Jones has been limited in practice with a hamstring injury. Jones’ status was similar last week and he was able to go for the Packers.

Update:

Jones is probable for Sunday. Expect him to play this week.

Houston Texans

Arian Foster, RB

Foster was limited in practice, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Foster is likely to take it easy early in the week. He should be a go for Sunday. Check back for updates to his status.

Update:

Foster was a full participant on Thursday and Friday.

Alfred Blue, RB

Blue has turf toe. This is not a good thing for him. Turf toe can linger and even end seasons. He was out of practice Wednesday and might be out this week. Check back later this week to see his progress.

Update:

Blue was out of practice on Thursday, but returned to limited practice on Friday. Blue is questionable for Sunday. Check his status Sunday morning.

Cecil Shorts, WR

Shorts returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday. Shorts dislocated his shoulder two weeks ago, and is on track to give it a go on Sunday.

Update:

Shorts is probable for Sunday. Make sure he is active, but expect him this week.

Nate Washington, WR

Washington was not in practice on Wednesday. This after he missed last week’s game as well. Washington’s hamstring seems to be likely to keep him off the field this week.

Update:

Washington is out this week.

Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck, QB

Luck has missed the last two games for the Colts. With the Bills signing the colts backup option, it seems like Luck might make it back this week. A limited participant in practice Wednesday makes that seem more likely.

Update:

Luck returned to full practice Friday. Expect him to go this week.

Andre Johnson, WR

Johnson was not a participant in practice Wednesday. This might not be a shock as Johnson is one of the elder statesmen of the NFL. Check back to see if this was just a rest day and if Johnson can get back into practice.

Update:

Johnson returned to full practice on Thursday and Friday.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Blake Bortles, QB

Bortles was a full participant in practice after suffering an AC joint sprain last week. This is a positive sign for him and you should expect him this week.

TJ Yeldon, RB

Yeldon was not in practice on Wednesday after suffering a groin injury in last week’s game. The latter week status of Yeldon will tell the story for this week. Check back to see if he can get back on the field.

Update:

Yeldon is a game time decision. I have pulled him from my lineups, and I think you should too. Yeldon has not practiced this week.

Denard Robinson, RB

Robinson was back at practice this week after missing time this season. This might be more important that you think, as TJ Yeldon has a groin injury that has his status in question.

Allen Hurns, WR

Hurns was not in practice on Wednesday. This has become a common occurance for Hurns with his ankle injury. The good news has been that it hasn’t stopped him from being very productive. Keep an eye on his participation to make sure he progresses toward playing this week.

Update:

Hurns returned to full practice. He should play this week.

Kansas City Chiefs

Looking good.

Miami Dolphins

Dion Sims, TE

Sims was not a participant in practice. Sims has been out with a concussion, and has not been cleared to play yet.

Update:

Sims returned to full practices Thursday and Friday.

Minnesota Vikings

Mike Wallace, WR

Wallace has had a sore knee, and now he has missed practice coming off the Vikings bye. This is not a positive sign. Check back later this week to see if he progresses toward going on game day.

Update:

Wallace progressed to a full participant in practice by Friday. Expect to see him Sunday.

Charles Johnson, WR

Johnson was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. This is a positive step for Johnson, who has been out with a rib injury. Check back to see if he moves toward playing this week.

Update:

Johnson was limited this week. He is listed as questionable this week. Check his status Sunday morning.

New England Patriots

Dion Lewis, RB

Lewis showed up on the injury report with an abdominal injury. He is questionable for Sunday. Make sure to check his status Sunday morning.

New Orleans Saints

Marques Colston, WR

Colston has a shoulder injury that will likely be keeping him out this Thursday night. The news is not good for Colston, as it seems not only did he dislocate his shoulder, but did some damage internally as well.

New York Giants

Odell Beckham Jr, WR

Beckham was slowed by a hamstring injury last week. He has yet to practice this week. With the Giants playing Monday night, you will need to keep an eye on his practice status on Saturday.

Rueben Randle, WR

Randle practiced fully on Friday. This is a great sign for a team that is already short at the receiver spot.

New York Jets

Bilal Powell, RB

Powell has a groin injury that kept him limited in practice on Wednesday. Keep an eye on his status to see if he will be back this week.

Update:

Powell is questionable for Sunday. He was limited all week. If you were planning on playing him, check his status Sunday morning.

Oakland Raiders

Bye

Philadelphia Eagles

Nelson Agholor, WR

Agholor was out of practice Thursday and Friday. His status for Monday night is in doubt.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger, QB

Roethlisberger was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. It seems a long shot that Big Ben will suit up this week, but not impossible. Check back for the update later this week on his status.

Update:

Roethlisberger is out this week.

San Diego Chargers

Stevie Johnson, WR

Johnson was out of practice with a hamstring injury. After missing last week with the injury, his status for this week is in doubt.

Update:

Johnson has not practiced and is listed as doubtful this week. Make other plans.

Seattle Seahawks

Marshawn Lynch, RB

Lynch was limited on Wednesday, but head coach Pete Carrol said he should be back this week. This is a good sign for Lynch. Check back to see if his practice participation progresses this week.

Update:

Lynch returned to full practice on Thursday and Friday. It appears he is a full go this week.

San Francisco 49ers

Reggie Bush, RB

Bush has a calf injury and was not a participant in practice this week. This is his second injury of this type this season, and his status is in doubt. Check back later in the week to see if he will progress.

Update:

Bush is listed as doubtful for this week. I wouldn’t plan on him playing.

Carlos Hyde, RB

Hyde didn’t practice on Wednesday with a foot injury. You will need to check his status later in the week to see if he progresses toward playing.

Update:

Hyde is listed as questionable. It seems as though he will play this week, but make sure to check his status on Sunday.

Vernon Davis, TE

Davis was limited in practice with a knee injury. After missing time, you will want to make sure he keeps progressing this week.

Update:

Davis was limited all week. He is questionable for Sunday. As this is an afternoon game, I would make other plans or have another option.

St. Louis Rams

Bye

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bye

Tennessee Titans

No major Fantasy relevant players to report on.

Washington Redskins

Matt Jones, RB

Jones was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday with a sprained toe. He should be able to play this week, but just in case check back to make sure.

Update:

Jones took a turn for the worse and was out of practice Friday. I would have a backup plan ready. Check his status Sunday morning.

DeSean Jackson, WR

Jackson was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Jay Gruden is being very cautious with Jackson, and will not play him until he is 100%.

Update:

Jackson is a game time decision for Sunday. This is not a good thing for a player that relies on being explosive.

Jordan Reed, TE

Reed has been out with a concussion. Reed has a history of issues with concussions, and it is unclear how he will progress.

Update:

Reed is out this week.

As usual, there is good and bad news in our injury report. We welcome back those that don’t appear here this week, and lament those that do. Make sure to come back on Saturday and get the final reports and analysis. Good luck this week.
