Week 8 of Daily Fantasy Football is here and I hope everyone had a successful week last week.
There were some great values last week on FanDuel. Todd Gurley, Lamar Miller, Philip Rivers and Michael Floyd to name a few. Floyd was featured in this article last week and came through with 2.5 times value, which I would take every time out.
This week also features some good values and the So Called Fantasy Experts staff is here to bring all the best Daily Fantasy Football values to you. Let’s get to this week’s values and players to avoid at Wide Receiver this week.
Week 8 teams on bye: Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins
All Prices are based on Fanduel pricing.
Week 8 Daily Fantasy Football
3 Value Wide Receivers
Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals ($8,400)
Attention Daily Fantasy Football players! Ben Roethlisberger is due back this week and if Antonio Brown is NOT in your lineup, you will be sorry. Brown’s price is down $900 since the start of the season and this will be the last time you will get Brown under $9,000 as long as Big Ben stays healthy in the Daily Fantasy Football game. Lock and load Brown into all your lineups with confidence and a 30 point game would not shock me.
Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears ($6,700)
Okay, I’m a believer. It’s clear to me now that Diggs is the real deal and he made the Detroit secondary look foolish. I never saw a DBs ankles get broken before. To say this kid is quick is an understatement. He has a great match up this week vs. Da Bears and I feel he is a solid cash game play with tournament play upside vs. the Bears secondary.
Michael Floyd, Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns ($4,900)
Another week and another solid game out of Floyd. Palmer clearly looks for Floyd, especially in the red zone. Floyd’s low price really helps you put together a nice lineup. I’m not ready to play him in cash games yet, but he’s pretty much a lock as a WR 3 for all GPP and tournaments.
3 Wide Receivers to Avoid
Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks ($8,000)
This one is easy. Bryant is coming off injury, he has a tough match up and Dallas is getting poor QB play. This one is an absolute AVOID. I wouldn’t even take a chance on him in a Tournament.
Pivot to Alshon Jeffery ($7,700)
Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos ($7,600)
This hurts me as a Packers fan to mention Cobb here but he has been very inconsistent and if you take away the monster game he had vs. the Chiefs, his numbers are dreadful. Aaron Rodgers spreads the ball around and Davante Adams is due back this week. The Denver Broncos play pretty good pass defense and this game probably isn’t going to be the shootout as it would have been a few years ago.
Pivot to Amari Cooper ($7,500)
Martavis Bryant, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals ($7,200)
This week should be The Antonio Brown Show this week. Plus, Heath Miller should come out of witness protection with Big Ben back this week. Don’t get me wrong, Bryant has huge potential with a very high ceiling and he could make me look foolish. However, at this price range I want someone with a higher floor as Bryant could put up a very mediocre game. Bryant could be an interesting tournament play, however.
Pivot to Brandin Cooks ($6,800)
That’s all for this week’s Daily Fantasy Football value WRs. Good luck everyone!
