The title says it all. In our Week 8 Who To Drop, there isn’t much that is new.
There are two new players who have topped the 50% ownership threshold that are droppable this week. There are a few defenses that are over 50% owned for streaming purposes, but I chose not to include those in this article.
Besides the two new players, there are still plenty of players that are still over 50% owned but have been in past articles. Make sure to take a look at that section at the end of the article, but before that, let’s talk about the two players that need to be dropped.
Week 7 Who To Drop
Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons (50.6% owned)
In a juicy rematch with the Patriots, I totally understand the streaming appeal that Sanu had. Just don’t hold onto him any longer.
Martellus Bennett, TE, Green Bay Packers (71.2% owned)
I didn’t want to drop Bennett immediately after the Aaron Rodgers injury. I was hoping that Brett Hundley would use his big tight end as a safety blanket. It still could happen, but the Packers first need to find any sort of passing game before any one of their receivers can safely be trusted, and Bennett is not very high on the Packers pecking order for targets anyway. He can safely be dropped.
Players From Previous Articles Who Still Need To Be Dropped
Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers (54.9% owned)
Mike Wallace, WR, Baltimore Ravens (56.0% owned)
Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins (56.9% owned)
Eric Decker, WR, Tennessee Titans (60.4% owned)
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers (61.3% owned)
Jeremy Maclin, WR, Baltimore Ravens (65.5% owned)
David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals (79.1% owned)
Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers (85.7% owned)
Rishard Matthews, WR, Tennessee Titans (86.1% owned)
